- Welcome back to my channel!
You are invited! Taking you along with us as we celebrate Trustin Timber's Birthday! After about two hours of being lost trying to find the access point (don't trust the locals!) we finally got on the water. A few portages, a lot of creek walking, and a few lift overs later, we made it to our destination for the night. We had a lovely steak camp meal down by the lake and fell asleep to the loons serenading us.
We got up early and pushed off for Turner lake. The portage was not clearly marked and our map had the portage in the wrong spot. Nonetheless, we trusted our instincts and pushed through an old growth forest with more moose tracks than human tracks. The portage crosses over the deepest part of the creek so we had to hop back into the canoe briefly mid portage.
Turner Lake was everything we imagined and more and we had the place to ourselves! A beautiful paradise to celebrate Trustin's birthday. Hope you enjoy! xo

Caitlin and Trustin. Loving your channel and all the content that you bring us. Temagami holds a magical beauty that makes all the efforts to get to the interior all worth the while. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Temagami = My Favorite Place on Earth... Dennis, Canoehound Adventures
I’m really appreciate people who do not trash around, but even pick up somebody’s garbage. Big Thanks.
Always a joy to watch. The “be nice to people” always makes me smile, too. Thank you for sharing!
thank you for watching! :)
You guys are very quickly becoming my favourite channel, both your channels are so in tune to the way I want to live.. love you guys!
wow what an honour! Thank you! :)
Happy belated birthday Trustin!
What an amazing outdoor vacation in a Heavenly location and the perfect spot to base from.
I had to laugh when Trustin said to never trust the locals. When I operated a forest fire lookout tower in New York's Adirondacks I always had fun with the visitors when they would ask; "Has this fire tower ever blown over?" typically my answer was; " Yes it has twice, but it was a hairy ride the second time". 🤣
Caitlin I do love the cozy home like feeling that you bring to a camp. No reason why a canoe trip cannot have an element of comfort too. 🏡
hahaha ya trust at your own risk! Yes little comforts are so nice out there.. it is our home after all, if only for the night :) thank you !
Love it ! Trustin , I thought I was the only person to walk up to a beautiful tree and admire it lol. Love it!
haha ya the portages take a little longer but sometimes you gotta pause and give some love to the beauties we pass by :)
I love trees, but that one looks like a red Birch, or river birch from what I could see.
That looked like a dream camp weekend, can't wait to try it one day.
Thanks for the adventure. The wilderness always pleases me.
Will
Awesome video! Turner Lake looked like the perfect place to wear your birthday suit. When I dip, you dip, we dip! 🎂
I laughed out loud when you slammed the canoe into the fallen tree. That was funny! I could see myself doing that.
haha glad you got a chuckle out of that part too :)
Once again all I can say is beautiful, beautiful video. Mother nature at her best. Very enjoyable thank you both for sharing your adventures with us. Be safe and be careful my friends.
thank you for joining along on our adventures! :)
22:45😧😬😵, awesome video as usual👍🏻
The call of those loons is wonderful, such a beautiful, ethereal sound.
The camp site looked really scenic but such a change on the lake during the rain.
Thanks for uploading and happy belated birthday. 🎂
thank you! :)
Running into the tree was hilarious 🤣
Happy Birthday 👍 🎂
Riverbend Longbows Outdoors hahaha glad you got a chuckle out of that too 😂
Thanks man
I have to admit it was funny when he walked into the tree with the canoe. Great video keep it up!

So deeply nestled in our natural world that you saw the full outline of the moon even when only a crescent was kissed by the sun. Remarkable. 🌒

This was my first time watching this channel. I wish they said what they were eating and how they prepared it instead of just clips. I also like gear reviews or even a comment on how they slept. Great filming and fun times! Happy birthday dude!
Matt Norris we do a little bit of gear review on our other channel here I'm typing from.
I'am sure, this is the home of bigfoot!
Greatings from Berlin
Hey guys, u have a big fan here. Love the way u r living and enjoying ur life. BTW, loved those duck sounds, that makes it feel all the more awesome. 👌❤️
Thank you for a view into your adventure, it was beautiful.
Thanks! & thank you for watching! :)
I immediately thought of Mr. Canoehead when you hit the tree during the portage.
Beautiful area, love the loon calls. Haven't heard them in person in years.
Mr Canoehead, a Canadian Super Hero!!!
Mr. Canoehead 😂 forgot about that hahaha
I kept trying to catch what canoe you're paddling it's a beauty. Great video very relaxing loved hearing the loons miss them down here in the states.
Everything looks just perfect
Well done you two,well done

Reginald Workman thank you! 🙏🏼
Reginald Workman thanks
I could paddle for days just looking straight ahead at the beauty in front of me.
Happy birthday! Wonderful way to spend it.
Jim Dockrell thank you
Wonderful adventure! I think this is your best video so far! I love that you show us both the difficulties and the fantastic and funny moments of a trip in the wilderness! Interesting to hear the echo on the lake, never heard before.
Caitlin, you are very talented, baking a cake on the fire, fantastic! By the way, we tried your recipe of pizza baked on the fire and it was fantastic!
Trustin, I really wished to see you get a fish with your "equipment" :-)
Thank again for taking us with you on you adventures!
Thank you so much! So happy to hear you tried the camp pizza recipe and it was a success! :)
Just stumbled onto your channel and immediately subbed. I foresee some binge watching in my evening. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I agree
Wish I could find a beautiful woman to bushcraft with.
Seems like a happy ending
When you stopped mid portage and called for the Canoe. I actually said "Good Idea" simultaneously. Fantastic stuff keep it up!!
It's been way too long since I paddled up to loons. Thanks for the focus on them! Beautiful video all around!
thank you! :)
So inspiring!
So beautiful out in that area 😎
What is so nice about your videos, they portray honestly what life is really like out in the wilderness so real with all the miscalculations the humor, the challenges and the rewards created by those real situations. Some may say they are errors but having camped in the north they are just reality. It happens Well done! The scenery the sounds the peace the feel you manage to capture it all. You are both fortunate to have each other to depend upon and support with in your life journey. May your trails continue to be blessed!
thank you for these kind words :) Cheers!
Your couple makes me dream so much... 😉
Thanks for your videos 🤠🏕
Sweetness, super remote.. 👊🏻👊🏻
The Loons! Wow this was absolutely amazing!
Keep it up guys , my family sits with me to watch your videos. BE SAFE
Peter V that’s so nice to hear, thank you! We will :)
You guys are so cool! So much to be learned from you, especially about having a good attitude. So many smiles when things don't exactly seem to be going perfectly. But I guess whether or not things are going perfectly is all about perspective, right? If your attitudes are positive then your experience is positive. Anyway, you guys are pretty inspiring.
Exactly! Perspective and a positive attitude is so important... if everything went according to plan, it would not be as much of an adventure. :)
The Timber Lifep
You must have been happy to feel like you're exploring even if you're lost in the wild.
Very Amzing wonderful view so nice
Looks a fantastic trip 👍👌
I like your videos thematically, I continue to watch your videos with interest. Thank you..

Thank you! Will do :)
A Suunto compass, great to see a finnish product used in North America. Nice wilderness you got there. And you guys are using Fjällräven pants aswell, from Sweden.
my favorite traveling channel
thanks so much!
Great video guys! Happy belated Birthday Cody! I drove by your place on the weekend. Had a great cycle ride around the Provincial Park. Took the Elora Cataract Trailway to Erin and back. Good fun:) Hope to see you both soon.
awesome! Thanks Chris! :)
Your travels and videos are great. Nice kuksa. Keep putting out content...
gun man thank you 😊
Life does not get any better than that.......cheers
Agreed! Cheers 👍🏼
Been canoe tripping in the temagami area since I was a kid in 1977. It will always hold a special place in my heart!
Tom Haffly amazing! Temagami is a special place indeed.
I was a camper at Keewaydin Temagami from 1977 to 1983, worked on the island as well. My children are Keewaydin alumni from early 2000’s.
Now we will be canoeing and camping in the Temagami area with my grandchildren and children by next year !
I’m so excited to share this beautiful place with them.
It makes your soul , body and mind feel complete.
@@tomhaffly7498 Yep. Parts of Temagami do more for me then I can understand or explain.
Happy belated birthday to you.
How do I make a comment to describe a wonderful couple. I can’t... smile is the closest - well done.
thank you :)
Y'all really living the dream!
Awesome trip! Best ones are the ones that keep you guess and wondering!👍
For sure!! That's what makes an adventure :)
Enjoyed the video. As I watched I thought back to one of the original videos on Killarney in which Trustin said the goal of each trip was to travel a little further and push a little harder. I have to say you two definitely accomplished that........
Doug Gray yep. About to push another 85km in the next 5 days.
yes exactly!! Good memory :)
@@TrustinTimber Looking forward to the video
Nice one guy's 👍 So jealous 😉 atb Taff 🤠
thank you!
Lovely goodbye from the loon

It really was!
Great video. Thanks for sharing
thank you for watching :)
Your wife said gorgeous
I agree. Wonderful c ountry
Just love you guys...
thank you! :)
I wish I had the energy to do this. Good luck.
Who has not hit a tree like that.... everyone! It’s amazing that the sense I get from you two is the same that I share for the northwoods of Canada. Nature like that is good for your soul, it fills you up! Happiest of days ahead to you!
yes it certainly does! Thank you!
Beautiful.
Beautiful scenery!!
It was!
You two are just the best, I so enjoy your channel. The loons were a special treat. I used to watch and listen to a pair for a few years at a pond near where I live. Then some storage sheds were built close by and they decided to pack up their bags and move on. So sad for so many reasons :(
Thank you for all your hard work to bring this video to us :)
Please stay safe and healthy and happy.
thank you :)
I wish i had the energy to do this!! Amazing video!!
Thank you! The outdoor air gives you energy!! You can do it!
Nice adventure guys, thank you
Thanks for watching!
Couples camping, bushcraft, really call for unity 🙃😇🥂
That drone scene at 0:48 reminded me of the movie, The Descent for some reason,... Great life though guys, thanks for sharing.
"You First" best line. Lol
Nice work.
You guys trying to find the access point totally reminds me of a recent trip to Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. We were trying to find an old rocket launch site and the onboard GPS was taking us down some really remote two tracks where we were driving through some huge puddles and climbing up rocks in our Jeep. Like you, I drive a Jeep - so no problem. I don't have a drone yet, but love the idea of using it to orient to the topo. Thx, Ken
haha sounds like an adventurous trip! Ya its not the first time we have put the drone up to see where we want to go...its handy having an extra pair of eyes from the sky :)
Best camping buddy ever! Oh, you are supposed to MAKE your own kuksa. It's a right of passage for all skilled woodsmen. Thanks for sharing your adventure
I know right!! We will make ours... but until then :)
Dude, that was so funny when you rammed that tree!!
makes me LOL every time 🤣
Wow! 🤔where to start? Lovely video, amazing scenery, and so glad you finally got on the water!
Amy Outdoors thanks so much!!
That was a great camping trip, think you.
Tommy Garcia thank you for watching! :)
Should have asked for a handheld GPS for your Birthday, Ha. Thanks great video.
yeah, maybe Christmas.
great content, love the Loon
thank you!
25:30 и вот еще красивий момент 👍 с днем рождения 🍾🥂
Lots of greenery
Fabulous demonstration You have inspired me to work on my channel, thanks. 🐼
Catlin said "I think we should get the canoe" she is smart TOO! I would let her take the lead down any path! Not just because she is beautiful, but she knows what she is ding out there!
thank you!
Lovely c ountry
Nice video and beautiful surroundings; a great way to have a birthday weekend. You two have some serious relationship mojo also, it adds to the video. I will definitely keep watching.Thank you, Konrad PS- I think your big white birch is a yellow, they get rough looking with age.
thank you! :) yes yellow birch seems to be the consensus!
Your videos are fascinating but I have to admit when you showed that old growth birch tree I was thinking that’s a lot of good firewood
Happy B Day ! 🎂 Merci
thanks
HBD!!!
When lost in the woods, one should always have a cute bathing suit as necessary emergency equipment! Looking forward you watching the video as soon as I can, but enjoyed the poster frame. :-)
Lovely video, you two! And such a great campsite. Do you ever run into other people on these outings of yours, or is it just you two? So peaceful.
We did not run into anyone on this trip... but when in parks it is not uncommon to see other canoeists passing through.
Looks incredible, from Southwestern Ontario but haven't done much camping or canoeing.
It is! You should give it a try! But be warned, you’ll get addicted :)
Nice trip guys 👍🛶🇺🇸
The Vermonter
Lambert Saldi thanks!
