Hi! I use 18-50mm on my A7IV and it works fine. So downsampling from 4,6k to 4k. So I get 27-75mm equivalent when filming in 4K60.
I use A7IV because I think it can handle low light better than FX30. Since you have them both and also the same lens, what’s yours take out?
Ps. I don’t need to import custom LUTs to the camera. :)

When it comes to production, all you need are lights + camera. This is what separates amateurs from pros. Fx30 is trash tbh.

I understand, work with what you got. If you can afford to purchase the FX30 and it’s not an issue go for it. Dont dismiss the fact that the FX30 is a great entry cinema camera compared to other cinema cameras, but yeah once you nail lighting you can make almost any camera look great!
