    Im glad this is my first ever max cushion shoes, midsole doesnt feel as bouncy as react per say and it doesnt feel as responsive as boost/bounce but definitely the cushioning is great, plush, absorbs lot and lots of impact even i could run 4 days straight without skipping with this 🔥

    Thoroughly enjoyed the 24 but got very low mileage before I had to replace them. Lower legs really started to hurt after 150-180 miles so loved the shoe but dissatisfied with mileage. Now using my first pair of 25’s, getting to 200 miles. Hope it can hold up another 100-150 miles.
    I use three for some speedwork as well, is this a bad idea? I have vapourflies but use these sparingly as I can’t see them going too far. Should I get a lighter shoe for speedwork and use the Nimbus 25 for recovery runs only?
    Week is Quality, recovery, jumps, rest, quality, recovery, fartlek, rest - repeat.

    • @runningwarehouse
      @runningwarehouse  Před 11 měsíci +1

      This will really come down to personal preference. Using the Nimbus 25 for speedwork isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just might feel a little less efficient than a faster shoe. I tend to use shoes like the Nimbus for speed early in the season when paces dont matter and then switch into a faster, more versatile shoe like the endorphin speed 3 or a true super racer as the season progresses. -Connor

  • @msganga1974

    They are good shoes but I disagree about one point. These shoes are not made to improve comfort but to enlight performance. The previous Nimbus ( 23) were absolutely better in term of cushioning and comfort. Now the tongue of the shoes is really thin and sometimes making tight laces may hurt your feet (evident even in Nimbus 24). Meanwhile the great sole height has a mechanic advantage pushing forward the runner but to achieve this result they cannot use gel at the same way... I have all Nimbus and I run thousands of km with them... This is my personal opinion. Great review! ☺️

    How do these compare to the gliderides? This is supposed to be the daily trainer in their lineup but it seems like a maxcushion long run shoe

    • @davidlynch9049
      @davidlynch9049 Před rokem +5

      I have both. The stack height is lower in the Gliderides. Gliderides have better energy return and are smaller. The Nimbus is a bigger shoe with a wider base. Both are firmish. Both are stable. There is no EVA plate in the Nimbus as in the Glideride. The Glideride is more agile and nimbler. The Nimbus has a fully gusseted tongue with no padding; the Glideride has a semi-gusseted tongue with padding. I like both shoes equally. The rocker in the Glideride is more pronounced. I think the toebox bend in both is similar. The forefoot room seems similar to me. There is a useable pull tab on the Nimbus, but none on the Gliderides. The one thing I hate about the Gliderides is the low rounded heel cup that makes it difficult to to put on. It's a snug fit. Over time, the inner heel collapses. Unless Asics fixes this, I won't buy another pair of Gliderides.

    I bought the Asics Nimbus 23 shoes for running and it has been a complete disappointment and an absolute nightmare. I have used the shoes for only about 250*kms of running appro, and already the shoes are tearing apart. I had spent a ridiculous amount on these shoes, expecting a good quality product from Asics. Unfortunately, the quality of shoes sold by Asics in India is very poor. What's worse is that the customer care team is unwilling to provide any support, leaving me stuck with a defective product. I urge everyone to be aware before making a purchase of Asics shoes. These shoes are a waste of your hard-earned money and will only lead to disappointment. If you're thinking of buying Asics shoes, think again! Save your money and invest in a better brand that values their customers and produces quality products. Asics shoes are a complete waste of money and a disgrace to the sportswear industry.

    • @savagej4y241

      Maybe what people mean by "energy return" is bounciness like you're jogging or running on lightweight, soft springs. The old Skechers Ultra Go's with goga mat insole used to be like that. Shoe manufacturers stopped making shoes that good for under $100 because they last too long. Took me 4 years to wear mine out with near daily use.

      @ManningOWNsTeboww Před rokem

      I’m also 220 and I’m considering this shoe. Mainly because a bigger runner like myself needs to protect the miniscus more than a lighter person would. Lots of impact on those soft cartilages therefore a highly cushioned shoe that absorbs that impact would be beneficial over time. Just ran a half marathon in the Vaporfly 3s and my weight caused the heel to tear up badly 😢 Nimbus seems like it would stay together a lot better
