MSTS was released in 2001, FSX was released in 2006, MSTS has never fallen dead as thousands and thousands of advanced add-ons have been created for it. Microsoft is in fact making MSTS 2 which is based on the things they used in FSX. MSTS is considered not dead seeing when it came out and what's come out of it. Don't get me wrong though, I'm also a huge plane enthusiast and I wish I had FSX as well even if it might crash my computer :P.
The West Coast Express add-on comes with an Intercity livery on it's Pendolino. There are a few in the Virgin livery to download for free from UKTrainsim.
It is a bit difficult at first but if you look on the left hand side you can see the CD-ordering link. If you click it you can see all of the items they have for you to buy. The CDs generally come with a route, loads of stock and activities which install easily.
Well it's one of a few that can run at the fastest speed on the network of 125mph although the Pendolinos were actually designed to go 140mph - only problem is they ran out of money to upgrade the West Coast Main Line that they run on to the required standard. The fastest trains in Britain are the Eurostars at 186mph although they are on their own special line.
As far as I know there are only 2 parts - Part 1) London to Birmingham and 2) Cross City line which isn't really WCML but Redditch to Lichfield Trent Valley. I'd imagine the journeys are pretty accurate time-wise but having never gone on the WCML south of Birmingham I can't say for sure.
It's no problem - You can download some trains, routes and sounds for free off the internet but you will still need the actual Microsoft Train Simulator which you will have to buy. Luckily it's been a few years since it was released so it shouldn't be too expensive - I got mine in the bargain section of games If you want to check out a free train simulator you can google BVE - you will only have the cab view but it can still be worth checking out
It was free to join and download when I did it but that was 5+ years ago. I remember you either waited in a queue to download otherwise there was a fee to skip the queue and have fast downloads. But like I said that was a long time ago and things might have changed.
I can't think of any commercial ones for that area but you might want to look on UKTrainsim as there are lots of UK routes on there you can either download or buy on a CD.
Sometimes they will come with an uninstaller which you just run but I've never deleted a train - I'd imagine you have to find the consist files and folder it makes in the Trainset folder but as I've never tried it there's the offchance that it may mess everything up so I'd just try moving the files and folders to your desktop at first and if MSTS is alright, then go ahead and delete them
They shouldn't really be selling it on eBay - you should get it off the UKTS site for around a fiver which also gives you a month of premium downloads.
nice vid. i need some help. i got bve4 and when i drive the trains sometimes there is this constant beeping and then the train stops. why does this happen and how can i stop it?
i just wanted to know if Euston station is on msts with the real route and everything. Should i get this game, r the graphics good, sounds? Does the front cover of the game have a steam train.
I've often wondered if it is possible to take any files from MS Flight Sim and put them into Train Sim? That is of course if both sims were written in the same year. Perhaps scenery or buildings or even computer generated air traffic that would show planes flying over. Has anyone ever done this?
I Downloaded the Demo of Trainsim earlier today and when I press start game it says Railsim.exe has encounted a problem and needs to close, what can i do?
I really hate the way that the camera pan and sweep angles are moved in this game.. it's too harsh.. I hope they sort it out so you get gradual movements of the camera i future releases.
I remember watching this video 9 years ago.
Ah, my childhood. The nostalgia hits hard
same here, it's crazy seeing it again
@@nateayi I know right, so much memories 😅

I have this game and I see other trains passing sometimes
There are some - they will usually say they include a cabview and sounds if so, otherwise you can download the cabviews and sounds seperately
Everyone.
Go to UKTS. They have the download for MSTS. For Rail Simulator users, you have to buy the addon from the official website.

Are you using anything other than your browser's in built downloader?
It's probably the vigilance system - try pressing Delete when it goes off.
It has indeed.
Exelent vid mate!! Where did you get it from?
It would help if it had more trains, vehicles and people in it....
Depends what you like really
They are both the same thing so yeah!

Microsoft Train Simulator and you can get it from games shops or online e.g. play, amazon

HYPEREN is right. This is not rail simulor.this is train simulator
You have to pay for some things but you can also get a lot free from certain websites e.g. UKTrainsim.
@TheFsxPilot100 yes, the WCE one is the one I have issues with. I dont like Pendo's but I would like a drive, the 89 (which I like) has the same issue

Not in real life, no. They run on the West Coast Mainline. London-Birmingham, Manchester and Scotland
How Do You Get To That View Of The Train At 0:25?
I've often wondered if it is possible to take any files from MS Flight Sim and put them into Train Sim? That is of course if both sims were written in the same year. Perhaps scenery or buildings or even computer generated air traffic that would show planes flying over. Has anyone ever done this?
You need to make an account and be signed in, then click the downloads search button and enter 14535 in the File ID box and search
OK thanks...
how do you get that far off view, like at 0:23?
The vid or the train?

I really hate the way that the camera pan and sweep angles are moved in this game.. it's too harsh.. I hope they sort it out so you get gradual movements of the camera i future releases.
