T'Pau might've healed her of the Pa'nar Syndrome, but I wonder if the 2 mixed together somewhere before then. Besides just affecting her brain, adrenal glands, and immunity, how did the disease manifest her symptoms? She seemed able to do her job and other than headaches-which I thought she learned from her human friends how to get out of things-and the ocassional bouts of temper that seemed to come from her Trellium addiction, we don't get a clear picture how the disease affected her. I know it was an analogy of AIDS; but was it supposed to have the same kind of symptoms? I would think it affected T'Pol more neurologically since Pa'nar was less of a sexual disease. Even so, I 'm glad T'Pau knew the truth.

    Wow, these time travel situations become nerd heaven. Star Trek would have been better off just avoiding the whole time travel gimmick, but I guess the writers needed to use it as a crutch when they ran out of ideas.

    T'Pol and the doctor once discussed a decayed tooth being unlikely at her then age of only 63, so she'd be somewhere in her 160's.
    I had grandparents on both sides of both genders live into their very high 90's and low hundreds back in the 1960's-70's, so it's not that unusual.
    Unfortunately, average life expectancy in the US is falling, thanks to our inability to separate medical care from politics.

    • @brucewelty7684
      @brucewelty7684 Před 3 lety +3

      "average life expectancy" 90% of people have no idea of how that is calculated. Caveat this is from CNN 2018 "The U.S. is expected to fall from 43rd to 64th in the world, with an average life expectancy of 79.8 years. Even though that’s a year longer than in 2016," SO! As of 2018 our life expectancy was EXTENDING! Commie News Network, needing SOMETHING to prove OMB created this BS. It is interesting to note that historically, people reached the 80's, 90's, even the Century mark. While the expectancy was 40 years or whatever. Infant mortality, and wars play hob with the expectations. If we would take into consideration the number of abortions in the current calculations...hmmm 50 years or less? So before you broadcast bullshit, do some research.

    The show was great, except they dragged the whole Xindi thing out WAY too long. Also... the opening song was terrible. I would cringe every time it started, and would mute the sound on the show. Seriously, it was god awful, and put me in a bad mood when the show started.
