      I agree, I like more of the 1972 suits but of course, I love the embroidery work on almost every suit that was embroidered.

      The Indian jumpsuit is great! I love the way they embroidered the feathers to try to make them look as real as possible.

    I had Sundial, Peacock, Chief, Blue Swirl, and the blue one he wore at MSG on my Bingo card. This is a great list, thanks for putting it together. Given that you put all the work in, I'd be curious to know the rest of the order. The thing that's really interesting to me is the pic accompanying the Sundial video; it's a great pic of a pretty trim Elvis, which illustrates how much his weight fluctuated. A thing I noticed is that the rotation for the Blue Egyptian Bird is only 5 1/2 months, and the Sundial only 8 1/2 months.The two most-worn suits were in a very condensed time frame, likely to accommodate his weight would be my guess. I had heard that the Sundial was the only one that would fit him, though I know he wore other suites, but maybe when he was at his most bloated it was the only one that could accommodate him comfortably? BTW, which suit are you gonna buy? FWIW, I'm pushing for the black Gypsy / Chicken Bone suits.

      I already have a video scheduled to come out today, but I'll post the rest of the list in next week's video so make sure to have your complete predictions to play along :). I am more than likely going to buy a late 70s suit maybe the Egyptian bird while I work on bringing my weight down but I am looking into the chicken bone I think I'd look great in that as well!

      @@GabeBoehElvis I mean this in the most respectful way, but seeing the All Shook Up performance in the competition, I would definitely go with a dark suit. The dark suits are underrated, and I think fans appreciate seeing the jumpsuits that don't get a lot of airplay. Good luck!!!! (BTW, I thought you sounded really good.)

    The Mexican Sundial was by far worn the most

  • @ethandrood

    I think the later suits were worn most because the others no longer fit.

    • @GabeBoehElvis
      @GabeBoehElvis  Před 29 dny +1

      I think that has something to do with it. Someone who works at b&k told me the original suits were all hand stitched so I'm sure they weren't the most durable for elvis' moves either thus the later suits would be in better shape as well.

      With out doubt it’s the Mexican Sundial jumpsuit, from 1974 onwards he wore this many times, it was his favourite, he told me so .

    Some of his jumpsuits are breathtaking unfortunately his weight was a problem and he hated to be measured also its time consuming to make new ones especially hes on heavy schedules..

    That is a commendabke effort, yet it concetratesd on the jumpsuits his weight made it mandatory to wear. and wear, and wear again.

      @GabeBoehElvis  Před měsícem +2

      @@pulmon66 yeah the trend I noticed was he would get a new jumpsuit almost every season and only wear them a couple of times and get new ones the next. This seemed to end in 1974 which is when most of these suits were made

    0:44 at first I thought Elvis has wrote sweet Caroline first but no
    How do I check on Google it was Neil Who wrote that song
    And a year later Elvis has covered that

    • @GabeBoehElvis
      @GabeBoehElvis  Před 15 dny +1

      Yeah, Neil actually wrote it when he was kicked out of a session for Elvis to record. Elvis later found out that this happened and apologized, but I don't think there were any hard feelings since Neil wrote one of the greatest songs of all time.

    The jumpsuits look strange today. Pants and a shirt should have looked better.

    • @GabeBoehElvis
      @GabeBoehElvis  Před měsícem +2

      There are times he wore pants and shirts in the 70s. The problem is he would rip them dancing so he started wearing jumpsuits more as a necessity and then they worked to make them look stylish
