The concept is unironically interesting to me, if it actually worked. Doesn't even need gameplay systems or dialogues or anything, just the virtual turism seems very relaxing. Maybe just a voice-over talking about the culture and regions. I think its really cool that gaming technology can be used to create virtual experiences that aren't games
I totally agree. I showed this to a non-gamer friend of mine, and she said that games like this and Airplane Mode (which I told her about) work well as a form of virtual experiences for people who want them. In fact, there's a game called The Ship that I like for a similar reason. It's not much of a "game," but it kinda works as a virtual tour of fictional cruise ships.

Was thinking similar, and the inside and around the apartment and the station really sets it up that it seems like it might be reasonably fleshed out but then the train itself which the game is named for is the worst done/most broken part of it.

A Russian has finished his 5 year prison sentence for murder and wants to go home so he boards a train in which 3 Georgian men were, 2 were having fun eating and drinking and the third one was sleeping.
-Come sit with us! said one Georgian. Delighted, the Russians happily joins them and so they have fun.
-wow, look at this luck, I've just got out of prison and these folks aren't even bothered about it and am already having fun. The Russian said to himself
After 20 minutes, the two Georgians stood up to go out for a smoke.
-We're going out for a smoke, you can sit and eat if you like
5 minutes passed and as the Russian was sitting the train suddenly braked hard. Everything got knocked around and the sleeping Georgian fell off the bed and hit his head against the edge of the table.
Panic ensues, the Russian went to check his pulse. Nothing, the Russian starts mumbling "I've just told them that I was in prison for murder, will they even believe me if i say he fell and hit his head and died?
The Russian didn't think too much so he opened the window and threw the body out and sat back.
After 4 minutes the other Georgians returned only to notice the third one is missing
-Hey, where's the other one? asked one Georgian
-Well, you guys went out to smoke and he decided he'd go too. Said the Russian

-What the hell do you mean by going out for a smoke? we're taking him to Tbilisi to the funeral!

Well, as a Russian myself, I can tell you, that this is very cozy (especially with a nice company) and very discomfortable (because of so-called “плацкарт" type of wagons) at the same time.

I recently found out about Assassin's Creed Discovery Tours and I've been watching videos of them and they seem really fun despite not even being a game. I think if the Train game had some educational elements it could have more appeal.

I felt really connected with Svetlana as a character, and thoroughly enjoyed the interpersonal relationship mechanics and the nuance in dialogue choices. Thank God we have Charlie to represent these hidden gems. I'm so ecstatic to download this title and experience this masterpiece for myself!
