Very interesting concept, and good explanation!
I think that it is good to try to be transparent in expectations, and such instruments as code of ethics can be an effective tool to make these vague concepts of psychological contract at least somewhat real

this was so fascinating ! To what extent do you think there is a correlation between the success of a company and the psychological contract working?

success is too broad a construct to measure, we might need to break down first what we mean by success. Are we talking about profit over a particular fiscal year? do we mean the perceived smoothness in a given process? are we talking about a perceived absence of conflict? if we can narrow down to a measurable construct without ambiguity, then we can interrograte the correlation of PC efficacy to that construct.

    I want to ask you a question…
Why do you go to work?
Because you love what you do?
Because you feel valued by your employer?
If you’re anything like most people…
You go to work for a paycheck.
Hey, that’s what I did - for 20 years of my life.
That’s why I know how dangerous it is. And I do mean dangerous.
Because as much you wish it wasn’t true,
    WORK DEFINES WHO YOU ARE.

crazy when you see people that have no clue why the break their back for a company just hoping to get a smile from the boss. I used to be like that. I thought hard work=more pay and it never does. Excited for my future from all the research I've been doing. But now I'm seeing a change and seen how much Ive changed. Ready to change things up. My favorite laughable line from my boss at every shut down is about how were all a family. That used to mean a lot to me and its so common for management to use that line

@@brisket9158 another one from management is 'everyone should go the extra mile', that's a real killer that one!
