The best ship is the narwal in neon. Stats blow this ship out of the water
The best ship is actually Tayo industries Narwhal, you can just add one more cargo unit and you get the best all rounded ship in the game and it does not look like a floating oil rig like this one :) Stronghold has higher shields but they can be melted fast, while Narwhal has double the hull, which is more important in a dogfight, plus three turrets that'll melt any shield paired with a railgun to finish of the hull.

Narwahl in taiyo industries is the best ship in starfield especially to build from. It has the best reactor of any ship in the game. Im surprised nobody talks about it more

I think for the cost of doing the freestar ranger quest line, the Star Eagle, is pretty damn close. Some of the individual stats are better, cargo is almost as big, and only one less crew. Plus it just costs you time playing the game. And that's on top of all the extra stuff you get for doing the quests. Just my two cents

Yup, class C pilot license, and over 380,000 credits. I got a free UC Prison Shuttle that I rebuilt into a class 2 heavy hauler, 4250 cargo and class 2 pew-pew energy weapons.
Been using this ship from beginning with added extra auto turrets unkillable on very hard mode against 20 plus enemies well worth the credits & you can mod it to bits
How auto turrets and míssil….ec work ?
Have it on my ship but no 1 shot ? What I miss ?

My problem with starfield ships are the rubish interior designs with all the ladders,ive only seen one video with a fantastic ship which was built with only one ladder in the entire ship.
Yeah i am not really a fan of ladders either but i guess its pretty much unavoidable with bigger ships. I'd rather have a small lift or elevator.

My favorite is the ecliptic claymore (1,2 or 3). It has the best interior. 1 ladder, but it's a straight shot up the middle to the CP

Look into the kepler R ship it has 8 crew member slots 6670 cargo hold about 1k shields plus can uograde the f outta it and add good weapons, its my go to ship i barely edited it too
I'm using the Kepler R as my main, it's free, it's got 8 crew slots (with the right companions assigned it's OP) I changed the cargo bays to shielded cargo bays so I don't get busted with contraband.

Strip 3 of the 4 mega tanks off. They aren't really doing anything, just provide fuel capacity to circle the galaxy 4 times in one jump.
If you want to make it tankier, add anything that provides hull points. Tanky is probably a good idea with this. And why not slap on a bunch of habs that you like. There's certainly room.
If you just use A class engines, you can have 150 top speed on anything. Acceleration might be slow, but that's what the boost is for. I'm sure Todd thought all of this is a good idea.
The rail guns should be swapped for particle weapons. Weapon type balancing is completely broken, so only particles is best, maybe some missiles and EM if you like.

My Stronghold doesn’t have as much shields as your ship I have no idea why it started with max shields any idea why this question is for you & anyone in the comments who knows how I mabe able to get the shields back to max

Once you change the star eagle to class C is still the best all around ship.

Best ship is the Narwal at Neon. Don’t buy this trash. Save up and go to Neon, he inside, go to back and up the elevator.
