As a 737 pilot i can say the zibo sounds are much more realistic and emulate the depth of the real engine- pmdg sounds arcade like- with the N1 being a bit too prominent
Excellent positioning, commander! After the launch of PMDG, people kind of dismissed the merits that ZIBO has. The ZIBO not the most flight-study mod out there, but it certainly looks like a very well the real 737.
Speaking from a 737NG technician point of view, being in the cockpit daily: ambience sounds from the PMDG like battery noise, relay sounds, packs etc. sounds much better. Can't dissagree with the engine sounds tho.
Hard to compare the over engine take off because in zibo you were out side so you are hearing the exterior sounds compared to in the PMDG you were inside so you were hearing the internal sounds.
Sound is good for me in both planes. I like the Zibo a little more.
In terms of sounds, Zibo is has really done an amazing job with the sounds. Especially in the subtlties such as with the ground power whereas PMDG just did a fade in which didn't feel natural. As well as with the low frequencies when it comes to the engine and air con packs. PMDG definitely has done an amazing job on graphics but I just wish there was a way to import zibo's sounds into msfs.
Thrust 26k Zibo was outside PMDG inside.
Overall they both are great.

Cockpit sound has better sample quality for PMDG but engine sound totally win for ZIBO. Good comparison between free and paid aircraft :D
The sounds in PMDG are much higher quality.
As an ex- 737 pilot with some time on them I’d say there’s little or nothing to choose between these examples. I may have a preference, but couldn’t really say which was better or worse - they’re both ‘good enough’ imo. The lack of a ‘click’ when the ‘throttles’ close in the PMDG is the only thing that I noted, and I’d want added, being pedantic but it is a significant omission imo.
1: you don't really need very good quality sounds, the ones on the zibo mod are fine
2: zibo is freeware and PMDG is payware, and the PMDG is not really cheap, it costs 35 dollars for the small -600 and 70 dollars for the -700

They dont really even match the 737 as much as the Zibo 737 does. Zibo has much mroe crisp and realistic sounds.

Sounds takeoff inside is real in PMDG
I like the auto pilot disconnect and fire alarm of PMDG quite loud and a bit echoey which kind of feels real but not sure if it’s real. I’ll take it tho. Kudos to Zibo for making great aircraft in free ware
As a lover for msfs an the 737, i can fairly say that the zibo mod sounds 100% better
How do you do the system test on the PMDG 737, I’ve always wanted to do it.
The PMDG’s sounds like you’re really inside. It echos off the hollow cockpit more than the Zibo.

the sound of zibo is even more realistic, but I have to agree that pmdg's audio quality is much better

I know this is out of the topic but I really need some help, My Yoke is not responding to Pitch and Roll, basically the basic controls of the Yoke, but the buttons on the Yoke Is working fine.... does anyone know what can be the problem? Plzzz

Something Sims are yet to master is that sudden drop in forward momentum following right after takeoff. It may even be an illusion but one cannot fail to notice it once the wheels bump off the tarmac and into the air.
Did you mean the camera? We have XPRealistic for camera inertial immersion and the same team also released it for MSFS. Or are you talking about the sudden drop engine sound between 800-1500 AGL? That's called engine derate and both sim have study level detail on that system.
You would have to be feeling the g forces to simulate that
The ZIBO is giving me more realistic look and feel. The PMDG in MSFS is so toon-ish! I have them both, but since I touched ZIBO in XP12... MSFS is just occupying space...

This interesting, functional comparison, these two aircraft are the best, most current simulation, nothing compares to these two aircraft in terms of real and functionalities, we must not forget that Zibo is free, PMDG is not, I believe that the PMDG has a responsibility on its back, it has an obligation to be superior, both by the developer and the fact that I pay, technically they are similar, but the PMDG in my opinion is a step above, but I would still choose Zibo, not for it itself , but for the simulator, the XP11 is more faithful to the simulation, it is more authentic in terms of realism and flight dynamics

Level up is trash and full of bugs. Zibo is way better and polished.

also some system were tweaked for accuracy on LU737NG. But LU was born from zibo.

Good god the PMDG default engine sounds suck.
To be honest you can’t really compare both simulators and different aircrafts.
Why not? They are basically same aircrafts, pmdg is 700 and zibo is 800, different is 800 is a bit longer, and have couple new switches, but in general sounds are same for switches, engines.
I think it’s a fair comparison, given that simulators aren’t really a limiter of sound quality in this case.
Engine sounds on the Zibo just don't sound right... and yes, I have flown on a real 737 recently

Idk you guys. Do you watch AvistionPro channel? He flies PMDG 737 and what I noticed from his streams, PMDG 737 have choppy animations. Something that hurts most peoples eye. And the same thing happen on PMDG MSFS.
Zibo wins it for me and when you think of PMDG is payware, no brainer. I do like the look of PMDG but unfortunately it’s in MSFS2020 which still does not compare toXP11 in terms of realism and flight dynamics

Both have pluses and minuses, i fly on both platforms, xplane shines with flight dynamics its true, but mfs shines in system deepness

@@randomshark138 this is what every single but hurt Xplane fanatic says and yes i own both sims and respect both platforms but MSFS will be the future of flight simulation. Austin dropped the ball with Xplane 12 this "flight dynamics" argument is getting rusty. With time and some good coding MSFS will surpass Xplane in that area and I'm sure they're going to work on a good physics engine. Austin needs to get his head out of his ass and work with Google. Again i loved Xplane 11 it took me away from the terrible FSX franchise but MSFS stole me back. Waiting to see what happens but guys like you are fueling Austin's ego which is why Xplane 12 feels like a DLC update and not something fresh
