This song just crushes me. I lost my mom 4 years ago, hearing this song just brings me back to the flood of emotions as I held her hand as she took her last breath. Thank you for sharing this song with the world Emma.
Same, my mum momentarily came out of an induced coma to call my name and then I went to her side embraced her and then she took her last breath, I have always been so grateful I was there to aid her across that liminal space, though it was so intense I'm glad she wasn't alone... I understand how impactful that situation is though.. You were her death angel... You will be with her again..
This song does something to me - It opens me up in quiet moments when I feel alone, and it hurts me, or heals me in ways I don't really understand. I want to cry when it plays, and I often do. It connects with me with some immense gravity that don't know what to do with.

She did a big thing with Thou not too long ago and you should check into that. It might seem intense and too much but you should really delve into Thou themselves. There are one in the same In a way. I remember when Inconsolable was teased as an album and we allllll expected this nasty dirty fucking horrible thing of tones and distortion to put us into our place as terrible people. But the whole album came out clean.. I mean clean not a scream in it. IMMEDIATELY became the heaviest album of the year. I can't explain it. It just is. The way she sings is the way that album destroys and creates. Heathen is a good place to start if you wanna know what Thou is about after that

I am so excited I discovered Emma and all her music. I've become obsessed with "Marked for Death" and "Some Heavy Ocean" the last few days. It really speaks to me... god damn it. And Marriages... "Salome" is such a great album. I am checking out other Sargent House artists now. Such a good roster!

WOW, i'm a big fan of Patty Smith and PJ Harvey, and today I was listening a PJ Harvey's playlist of b- sides and when it finished, this song began to be played, and I wasn't aware of its existence at all. And immediately thought in PJ' style, when she explores her darkness. Now I'm totally Hook by this woman too. This is my first time watching this awesome video and while reading your comment, I was glad to know someone who put together all these talented women.

Massively underrated and brilliant song on every level. As many have already admitted, I too have listened to on repeat for hours. I'm doing it again right now. Was disappointed when she didn't play it live when I saw her on this album tour. A transcendent musical masterpiece that weaves an intoxicating emotional spell.

Wow- this is superbly crafted as a video/short type documentary blended style. Captures so much in a limited space for expressing herself. Hearing Emma speak mixed with the song adds so much to the feel of the song in a brilliant way. The images throughout with changing colours, textures and light are so gorgeously put together. Beautifully presented and as a new fan only keeps me wanting to explore more.
