Can confirm. Briefly met Molly and Kerri last month in Austin. Molly was nice, and Kerri was possibly one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met.

@@TheForlornEidolon777 I was at that same show and met them outside their tour bus at 1 AM with some other fans. Double confirmation, and Sheridan, their drummer, is also really really cool. Perhaps one of the most laid-back people I have ever met. BTW I really appreciate your recording of the entire show so I could share it with my friends and relisten to it myself! Thank you so much!
I am sad this video is only five minutes. They come across as both humble and dryly hilarious. I love the band, and seeing these small conversations between them gives you even more insight into them as people, and what makes their music so special for their fans.

Kerri…you are so very! I would love nothing more than to have a looooong conversation with her in front of a fireplace with a (possibly many) bottle of wine.
Everything they mention in the video, about their music, I find to be true. Especially the idea of identifying a specific time that it is being created. Many songs could be straight out of shoegaze’s earliest appearance in the 80’s, or during the second wave in the early 90’s. I just love that about Alvvays, and so far, not only have I not tired of any song or record, but I have just accepted that sometimes putting an Alvvays record on repeat is the right thing to do!

They remind me of some of the best alternative bands I grew up with in the mid-late 1980s, the ones where I'd stay up really late to watch them on "MTV's 120 Minutes".
Yeah they seem very inspired by 80s indie pop/rock. I love that 80s indie stuff so I’m curious to check out this band now.
