Most of the safety regulations they've put in or put in by people that don't play football and it's caused the instinct based game to become a series of random rules that change every year. The game got so complicated that players actually get hurt more trying to follow all the rules instead of just hitting hard and reacting.

I was having knee surgery in Bham Al with the Andrews sports medicine group years ago. They had drugged me but I was in a holding pattern outside the OR. Gurney pushed up against a wall. All the sudden here comes Emmitt headed for surgery. I shouted out “ oh hell no I’m pushed to the side so you can go ahead of me “ Emmitt had them stop his gurney to speak to me. We both had a good laugh and he went on his way. As good a dude as he was a football player.

@@199019852007 I just don't think Mississippi state is the caliper college to produce a super bowl championship. Mississippi state has done nothing in it's history. Texas tech produced Patrick Mahome's and they have a super bowl winning QB. I just don't think that Dak Prescott has what it's going to take win me my 6th super bowl trophy. Dak Prescott just seems to fold in big games with winning team's. He can beat the also rans of the NFL but not qualify teams when it's gonna count the most. I fear that we will be 1 and done with him at QB, but what can we do. Dak is 53-32 and most of his losses have come against quality teams. Just watch him fold like a house of cards. It's his nature. In my opinion, this was the best of the SB ‘90s Cowboys teams. I think if Emmitt hadn’t held out, the team would’ve gone 14-2 and been just as dominant in the post season as they round being when they went 12-4. The only thing is, I’m not sure we would’ve had the classic Emmitt game in Week 17 w/o those early season losses…by the way, Bill Bates spoke at my church when I was a kid. I met him at the airport years later. He was a quiet, soft-spoken, respectful guy. It’s great to see him getting some credit in this video.

Cassilias, Norton, Washington, Del Rio, Gogan, Gesek, Harper, etc... Even now it's hard to keep your core group of great players for 3 to 5 years.

Leion forced the fumble to Thurmon Thomas in that Super Bowl, in which James Washington recovered and tied it at 13 a piece that gave Dallas the momentum to even give then a chance to win. The most forgotten fumble EVER! People don't understand Dallas was down 13-6, Buffalo was driving to score another Touchdown, Leion's forced fumble gave Dallas life back. Emmitt Smith doesn't get MVP without that fumble from Leion Lett! Funny how the fumble that got Dallas back in the game is the most forgotten!
