Thanks for pointing out the change in the show lounge drinks service. At first I was disappointed (I'm cruising next week on the marella explorer 2) but on reflection I think it's a goid thing.
During the shows last time I cruised (Discovery 2) people were constantly ordering drinks and it was distracting from the show. The shows aren't long so I'll be happy to take my drink to my seat and make that do until after.
Agree it is not a bad thing just a different way of doing things. Have a fabulous cruise!

Hi Paul & Carol, Love ya Vid's. Was on this ship a few months back on her placement to Naples. I have been on all but one of Thomsons ships (Discovery 2 ) but am booked on that one for Oct'. This is probably my fav' but tbh I like all of them inc' the old tug the dream which I have been on 8 times since it's launch in Dec' 2010. In total, I have racked up over 30 cruises with Thomson now Tui, it is a shame they don't have some loyalty program for returning guest as P&O have & RCI. Anyhow, I am waffling on, again, nice vid, keep up the good work.
Ha ha we like a waffle! You are so right about a loyalty club wow with 30 you would be right at the top tier. We have always said that a loyalty Club would be great. We are on our 5th Marella cruise and our going back on the Discovery in November doing the Red sea Quest 2 so looking forward to that!

Thanks for subscribing! Marella is very relaxed, they do have a dress to impress night when we wear formal dress but other wise we just wear casual. You will have a great time!
Hi it's Sean again, How long was your cruise on the Marella Explorer 2, we are doing 2 weeks. Love the look of the bars, looking forward to the Gin bar. My wife will be using her wheelchair on board so we will have to sit at the back of the Broadway lounge.
We were on for 1 week, but would of happily stayed on for 2! 😁

Hi i am enjoying watching your videos, we are going on the explorer 2 in two weeks, i was wondering is it worth getting the premium package and thanks for posting the great videos.
Thanks for watching! We had the standard package which includes plenty. We have upgraded before and it was great with speciality coffees and top shelf spirits, great if you like to try all different gins etc. So depends on what you enjoy. Would recommend doing a day on the normal package and see if that is ok, sometimes you can upgrade 3 days into the cruise, but do check that! We had a great time on the Explorer 2! We are back on the Discovery in 6 weeks and can't wait for that!

Marella is very relaxed but they do have a Dress to Impress night once a week, if you want to dress up.

We tend to tip in the currency of the region we are visiting so would be euros! 😃

how much does bottled water cost on ship??
Think it was £2.60 for a large bottle however we just filled the carafe up at the water station by our cabin and then poured it into a small water bottle that we had taken on board and put it in the fridge.
Are there Laundry Facilities on Marella Explorer 2
Not that we are aware of though you can get laundry done at a cost in your cabin.

Sorry we don't. Usually you pay per garnent so it does add up.
@@leoforster2908 it's around 15 quid for a washing, I was on it last week and had a bag of washing done
