So gutted it was an elbow man. JJ was dominating regardless tbf I think he would’ve got the ko had the elbow not happened a bit later on in the round. It’s also worth noting Joe initiated the clinch and leaned into it and the elbow looked completely accidental. Should be ruled a no contest & JJ should move on to Tommy imo.
In my opinion after watching the Joe post fight video with Fred, It was not a flush / true elbow. Joe would have a nice cut sliced under his eye, yet he doesn't even have a bruise.

I feel like everytime KSI fights there’s some controversy or unanswered questions, always some bs. It really sucks that it ended like that. KSI was looking good too. However, that’s a elbow and that’s not fair to Joe. A No Contest is the right call.

Joe looked awful and slow like I expected, but was starting to have some success in round 2. The elbow was unintentional so the fight should be ruled a no contest.

The one thing fournier did well was to interrupt JJ's flow, KSI even mentioned that his timing felt off. But he was just so slow, even slower than he was before.

Looking at all the comebacks in boxing I'm glad they didn't just stop and end the fights because it looked like the other guy was winning. An illegal elbow ended the fight and it's a no contest. The sooner you can accept those facts the less biased you will be

I agree 100%. The elbow wasn't intentional and it looks like Joe fell into it. But overall KSI was only getting better and I think if he landed any shot instead of that elbow Joe was going to sleep regardless.
That's Bullshit ! KSI hasn't realy done anything ! He only hit him with the right hand at the very begining of the fight and than landed a right hand that affected him only for a sec before he KO'd him cold with the elbow. That's what put him away. Go Rewatch the fight.

its annoying but it needs to be a no contest decision. JJ would have won and people are being unreasonable jumping on this immediately as if decisions like this dont take a while. Its clearly not intentional, just unfortunate timing with joes dodge at the (im)perfect time. Its especially unfortunate because of people like jake paul who will use this ammunition, then again shit like this seems to be the norm within the scene. Hopefully JJ will have a main event fight that goes perfectly one day.
A rematch should not happen, if anything happens it should be a no contest. That's it and I can see how KSI actually hit him a little with the right hand but yeah then the elbow sadly came in and hit more :/ but just move on to Tommy now and go next you know

I do agree it would have been a knockout either way if he had landed flush with that right, but I also don't see it as an elbow, I personally see it as more of a forearm which in my opinion is different and does happen more frequently in boxing than elbows do.

The KSI vs Jake depends on the Tommy fight, if JJ wins that’s a complete GG for Jake. If he loses, a Jake fight is needed to close off on that boxing legacy.

Should definitely be a no contest, but I think we saw what we needed. And unlike pro boxers, records don't matter at all, as in this wasn't for a belt or anything, so whether it's a no contest, a DQ loss for KSI or remains, mistakenly, a win, KSI should just move on to the next fight. Though similar to Tyron Woodley 2, if Joe Fournier is down to be the backup fighter for a quite possible Tommy Fury pullout, that'd be convenient for all parties. But knowing the internet, we'll be hearing about this "drama/controversy" for wayy too long, though I totally get why some people will be outraged by the whole thing, especially people on Fournier's side/KSI detractors.

i think it’s the opposite. If he would’ve come in as a traditional boxer joe, or any professional boxer with experience would piece him up. I do think tommy, as the rounds go on, will find the timing and reads and school ksi but i also think ksi will perform well in the first few rounds because of how awkward he is to fight

KSI looked like really good in round 2 he was still doing the karate style he likes but he was more defensively sound and he was landing jabs to the body and setting other shots up the first round he looked a bit over eager but when he relaxed in the second and took more time to set things up we saw the true KSI

I think we can all agree this isn’t about “cheating” or anything to do with KSI not being able to win the fight. The elbow obviously wasn’t intentional, and Fournier was already dazed so he was about to lose regardless. This is more about the fact that, for the sake of boxing integrity, this HAS to be ruled as a no contest but hasn’t been yet. JJ also needs to be honest and admit what happened.

It should be no contest. But it was too ez for ksi to give Joe a rematch or something like that. Tommy Fury is the next one to make, and it will be much closer than people think.

After the overhand, Joe was rocked and wobbly. A push could’ve sent him onto the canvas. You can see as he is going for the clinch his right leg is up, so he was off balance and on the way down. Also in the way he falls and his right leg is folded (shows he was off balance)

Honestly, Jake should've taken the KSI fight for August. Feel like Jake is done improving at this point besides a few things. KSI is starting to improve himself to that point as well. We're seeing massive improvements from KSI each fight now. Jake feel like we've seen an up and down thing. Anyhow, really good performance by KSI he looked big surprisingly as you said and he was doing good things against Joe.

The tommy fury fight is a genius move tho. Because if he wins, he doesnt need to fight Jake, and if he does it makes him the definete A side. If he loses, which is the most likely scenario, it puts Jake and KSI on equal terms for their fight. Winner could get the tommy fury rematch
Yeah that whole Elbow thing was uncomfortable...BUT it still happened so I wouldn't be surprised if this turned to a No Contest. KSI looked pretty good but he wasn't dominating the fight by any means. Round 1 was essentially a warm up and in the second round Joe was pretty much even with KSI until the illegal shot.
It’s insane how people will switch up after a paycheck. It was a clear elbow. Period.
In terms of the fight, joe hasn’t fought in YEARS it was always going to be a slow start. Theirs been closer fights in the beginning where the guy on the offense eventually gets put away. Joe got caught wobbled a bit and relaxed before getting elbowed. KSI has improved but his level is still unknown. I could see Anthony Taylor beating him tbh. Tommy would knock him out in four rounds.

Jake fan here. Jj was clearly faster and more explosive, he was going to win. I think he would have been tested a bit more but would have won either way. Im just dissapointed his management team and the broadcast didnt tell him so that he could properly address it. He could have easily said im sorry for the elbow, i understand that it may be flipped, but i recognize im the better fighter and moving on to tommy fury regardless and i think everyone would accept that.

Youre right about ksi embracing his style. He isn't a traditional boxer, no need to force himself to fight in a traditional style if it isn't natural for him. This style of his works better for him. He is fast and he has insane cardio, so this style works
