I love when fragrances leave trails, and love smelling good trails on others. I want all of my fragrances to leave a trail. I dont want to suffocate people with my scent but I do want it to be a cloud around me and just be a breeze that follows me around

The most memorable trail I've ever encountered was back in college. Walking into the dining hall, I could smell the most intoxicating, exotic fragrance ever. It was Dior Poison, back in '85. Filled the whole room, nothing like it!

Or they don't wear perfume at all. I'm in my 40s and when I was younger EVERYONE wore perfume but now I don't notice it so either they don't wear perfume or it's weak perfume that's only a skin scent. I have also noticed an increase in people who claim to be allergic to fragrance and places that are asking for people to refrain from wearing scent & maybe that's carrying over.

Whenever I wore Estee Lauder Pleasures back in the day, I would leave every room I entered smelling like Pleasures. I always got compliments. The last bottle I bought just didn't smell the same. Haven't worn it in years. My trailblazers right now are Le Labo Baie 19, Frederic Malle Une Rose, Mugler Alien, Le Labo Another 13, and most definitely my Aromatics Elixir!! Those are my sillage monsters. My coworkers will say that they always know where I am, especially when I wear the above 😄
I used to have a collegue who wore Chanel Chance. Not sure if it was the original or a flanker but you could always tell when she had just been in a room because it smelled amazing 😍

To me, there's no other note that's as sexy as patchouli, that's why Coco Mademoiselle is one of my favorite fragrances! Another one that, to me, leaves an incredibly sexy trail is the Narciso Rodrigues for her, EDT version.

Great review! I like when I can smell the fragrance lingering in the elevator, room , etc. my favorite is Baccarat Rouge 540,I know it’s talked about so much ,but I still think it’s a masterpiece. I have many of the ones that you spoke about and enjoy wearing them and do get compliments on them. I have Angel edp, and I do like it but very overpowering. Is the one that was in your review the EDP or EDT?

Hi Sebastian, so many hits on that list! And I’m with you on #1 spot. I would also include some Francesca Bianchi fragrances, even if they are unisex, I think it fits the category. And an odd one that works always for me is La Petit Robe Noir from Guerlain, it doesn’t have a great reputation but I get a compliment every time with that one.
Perfect list, Sebastian! Coco Mademoiselle is on the top of my list also! But speaking of sillage, many years ago I fell in love and used to wear Inner Realm a lot. Not one day went buy without some compliment on how good I smell. It was a cheap fragrance, but had an incredible projection and sillage.💟
La Perla and Crystalle are the two perfumes that everyone used to ask what I was wearing. Sadly,the formulations have changed so I'm looking for new. I love Twilly and wear it a lot. Prada Iris too gives me complements,even though I'm not too keen. I've just ordered a Baccarat Rouge tester. Great review,thankyou. Please more🙏🏻🥰 I've wasted so much money😆

Nice choices! I think Alien is also one of those that leaves a massive scent behind. Hypnotic Poison used too, but these days, its not that strong anymore!

I went to Dillards yesterday JUST to smell it. It is nice but while there i smelt my beloved Dior Hypnotic Poison which is so DELICIOUS I can't even, i just can't and they were out of it, only have the tester. I think I'll pick up the Libre Intense, I always say the more intense the better.

I remember working at dillards and going into the elevator and my friend from the perfume department wearing angel and being intoxicated. I went to smell it on the strip and hated it. Then this year (4 years later) I tried it on my skin finally and there it was ! Truly beautiful fragrance that reacts better on the skin. Angel muse is my favorite but I still pop out angel in cold winter nights around a bonfire or going to a fair! It’s perfect

As he was describing what a scent trail is, I was having flashbacks to my first boss stinking up the place with the patchouli dry down of Aromatics Elixir (patchouli genuinely smells like dirt to me, and I can't smell it any other way. I understand that's not the universal experience). Then Aromatics Elixir is his first sexy trail fragrance. I cannot.

ROCHAS ABSOLU and BURBERRY BRIT GOLD leave the most sensual balsamic trails. They're unfortunately long discontinued but I just got one of each from Ebay. Can't wait to smell like a goddess again.

I don’t think Burberry Her is like BR540, but it stands on its own for sure. It has to be the perfume that gets me the most compliments.
Cristina Martinez have you compared it to intense ? Are they similar ?
@@Shadesof The intense is good but it’s very different to my nose. The berries shine more in the Intense whereas the strawberries stand out more in the original. I find that the original’s vibe transitions to the oak moss dry down, making it more like BR540. The intense remains fruitier throughout. I hope that made sense. I prefer the original (or rather, the “pillar” as it’s better called).
Burberry Her's strawberry note is so synthetic to my nose. Ended up giving it to my daughter.

I tried to spray a tester of Baccarat Rouge 540, they smell more like the same.
Burberry it's more sweet.
Baccarat didn't sit well on my skin.
So I would keep my Burberry

Honestly, I didn't care for Delina at first. I was like, so many people are making such a huge deal about it for no reason!!!
A year later, I was at the department store & a saleswoman was sharing the fragrance with another & I happened to be walking by as she spritzed it on a notecard & I was SO IN LOVE with the feminine, delicate, sweet & attractive scent it portrayed!!!!!!!! The best scent trail I've experienced, and the most complimented frangrance I've ever worn was Paul Sebastians Design. It's not the same now as it was when I was in high school, but what I'd give to have the original! It's smells so warm with the dry down. I absolutely loved it.
