I have had a urethra cathater for abt 4 yrs following a fall which damaged nerves making me go into retention. I suffer from lots of UTI'S and on daily low dose of antobiotics. I only have 1 kidney as my right kudney was removed abt 13yrs ago as due to repeated UTI'S in this kidney it was failing so needed to be removed. My question is that my bladder us very irritated and looks like looking at the moon surface through a xmas shake snow glass. So uroligist suggests this may help with irritation.
My question is how will this stop me passing urine naturally as now when the cathater is removed for a period of infection i now pass urine continously without any control to hold it in at all so consequently i have to wear incontiince pads. Can u advise if i will still pass urine naturally as i dont want to wear uncont products continually. Thank you for your time
