Honestly you could use both strings and meet in the middle and tie it off. But I recommend doing it the way the video shows.

+Ginger Cand-e When I first started I was in 7th grade and I was often bullied because I made kandi. Eventually I stopped because it seemed like it was the only way to stop the bullying. I know I shouldn't have let it affect me. Now realize that☹️

Pony beads are usually pretty inexpensive. If money is a concern I know Dollar Tree has them and string most of the time. 🙂

Update: this doesn’t work with beads that are fully circular with just a small hole either that or I’m doing it wrong but this is my 3rd attempt doing the exact same thing as the tutorial

You don't need a lot of sting. Between 6-12 inches I would guess.
