This is my take. Agrabah was supposed to have its own culture that mixed Asian and Middle Eastern cultures into one. So it has elements of both Indian and Arabic dance choreography in the dance as well. You've also got to remember that you have actors in this who are of Egyptian, Arabic, Iranian, Tusinian and Indian descent. They're multicultural, therefore it's best to reflect that in the film as well.
Hi everyone! I study Kathak (Indian classical dance). The reason why people potentially perceive this choreography as Indian is possibly due to some cultural markers. They frequently use the Anjali Mudra (Namaste pose) throughout the choreography. Moreover, they also greet each other with an Adab pose (e.g. 0:50) which is an Indian muslim greeting. The belly dancing (raqs sharqi) on the other hand is mostly associated with Arab/Middle Eastern culture. Apart from this, the choreography is mostly culturally ambiguous and therefore Orientalist (i.e. western construct of the East).

I fell in love with this music and dance 😍💙♥️😍💙😍💙😍💙
The music name is "Harvest Dance"
this is one of my favorite scenes in aladdin and even though it's funny but i was impress by Mena Massoud's dancing skills while they filming this scene, so awesome and very impressive but it makes me laugh that Genie controls Aladdin to dance cause aladdin had no idea on how to dance but just like someone says that this scene was so convincing when aladdin started to dance cause he was being controlled by genie💕 this scene was so perfect especially their dancing skills are so cool💛💛
Imagine the original animated version doing this scene! 💙✨
OMG I WOULD LOVE THAT
someone should create it 🥹 with the original aladdin animation
Mena Massoud is the best Aladdin ever.
This dance scene and Music is awesome.
Hope now we'll be able to see Mena in more movies. He's incredible :D
Aladdin 2 please
