It was a Beatles-tradition, that drummer Ringo Starr was allowed to sing one song per record and also at every concert. His songs with the Beatles were initially a C&W/rock 'n' roll mix, later the legendary tracks "Yellow submarine" (a psychedelic, world-famous, children's song), "With a little help from my friends" and another children's song "Octopus's Garden", to name the most famous ones. John Lennon facetious/affectionately dubbed these tracks "Ring-O-Longs"...

Cover of a classic Buck Owens song. Ringo often sang country-ish tunes. His first solo album was all country.

The Beatles were no strangers to or afraid of doing country type music...they even wrote their own country type songs I Don't Wanna Spoil the Party, What Goes On, Don't Pass Me By, Baby's in Back, The One After 909, I'll Cry Instead and many others have a country music feel to them , plus all the rockabilly covers by Carl Perkins...Matchbox, Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby, and Honey Don't. BTW I believe this old film has been colorized via computer...

Beatles, Paul on bass, Ringo Starr [aka Richard Starkey] on Drums, George on lead guitar and John on rhythm guitar sometimes lead . Normally the front line stood like this: Paul on the left, George in the Center, John on the right with Ringo in back of course on drums.

This song is upbeat and peppy but it's hard to say that it's hopeful. He at one point says they're if they were going to make a movie about someone who is sad and lonely, he could star in it and all he would have to do is act naturally. And he mentions being the fool because, apparently he had his heart broken or something. So it's kind of downer lyrics with a peppy exterior.

Ringo had a hit with a song called "No No Song" which is about quitting cocaine, marijuana and drinking. It's kind of a funny song which, even though it probably didn't chart that high, most boomers remember it even if they haven't heard it for 40+ years.

If you thought this song was very “hopeful and positive” you weren’t listening to the lyrics
