I'd imagine you probably know this, but the Blizzard fatality where he punching bags the dude if you're in a water stage they land in the drink. Definitely worth seeing / adding if you have the time to edit it in.

Love how after blizzard defeats his enemies he literally lifts their souls out of their bodies with a great muscle pose follow by a good chest pound, roaring like a true ruler.
He was my favorite as a kid.
To me he is the protagonist of the game a honorable ruler who wanted to protect urth and humanity from evil monster

I remember a kid I knew from school had rich parents and he had it on 3DO and it was the most insane shit ever, was as close to the arcade as you could get at the time and had FMV movies that weren’t in the other versions

Um it did become a franchise it hade five sequels to its name echo one better then the last and it hade a Novak a tv show a toy line and a dc as well as a book and a howl move made out of it
If the sequel hadn't been canceled due to the shrinking popularity of arcades and Midway buying Atari then the series might have turned into something greater. Mechanically the original game wasn't a great game, but neither was the original Mortal Kombat and that launched a franchise.

Pure, golden nostalgia. I remember seeing this in an arcade box at a bowling alley I went to when I was younger, and I saw more kids around this game than actually bowling. Damn good times.

Man this game was so under rated. It deserves to be up there with mortal kombat. Growing up I had all the figures. Still do. Kept them in the box and not a spec of dust on them. Wish they'd do a come back for primal rage. You know with today's graphics it would be absolutely epic!
I'm still happy that we got Primal Rage 2 when it was though to be lost forever. I remember having the toys as a kid!

Wow man I thought I was dreaming. I had blizzard figure when I was growing up. Ape with white hair. Came with a few little guys he could eat. I would face him off with my Godzilla toys or Jurassic park trex that I loved

@@natsusatsujinki8342 lol I actually thought it deserved a well erned spot up there with MK. I love mortal kombat until after part 4. It got better around shaolin monks but kinda fizzled out for me up until mk9 came out and I was over the moon with it primal rage on the other hand was even better than MK. I mean massive dinosaur gods and prehistoric beasts ripping each other apart is a kids dream come true. Lol everyone loves dinosaurs and thanks to chaos we got some pretty good laughs as well. Who would've thought a fart could be so effective in combat. And this was before Bo' Rai Cho's time.
Walking into the lehigh valley mall in the 90s and seeing Primal Rage, Street Fighter II, Mortal kombat, virtua fighter, tekken, etc. What a time to be a teenager. I miss it.

Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, Killer Instinct, and Primal Rage were my favorite fighting games.

These were very tricky to pull off as I recall. Timing, placement, and sometimes pure luck. Rare to do against the CPU.
This game had the worst control set up.
If you look real carefully you can see some similarities with Soul Calibur. Button holding to activate specials at the end of combos specifically.
I loved this game I hope this game get a reboot.
if it does, I want them to use stop motion animation like in the original.

I was going through an old storage shed where I had stuff stored, and found my copy of "Primal Rage" for PC. In the attic, I might have the old copy of "Game Pro" magazine that had all the moves. Very old game, but also very good. Stuff had been in that storage shed for 15 years... Love the content.
I didn't even know they had a PC version. I have to look up gameplay
@@MegaYoYo I believe my version was MS Dos version. I remember it worked fine on my PC at the time. I used to play the game a lot with my cousin. It would probably work on Dosbox like most of the old classics I remember!! I'll have to fire it up and see if it still works!!!
I was crazy into this game back in the day, this and Darkstalkers are my favorite fighting games ever.

This was one of my favorite games. I spent many a quarters on this in the arcade back in the day
They need to remake this old school gem. What a cool ass game
I've been thinking up ideas for stage fatalities if Primal Rage ever gets a modern remake. Here's what I got so far:
Cove - the dazed beast gets thrown out to sea, before he/she hits the water, a mosasaurus bursts out and eats him/her!
Cliff - the dazed beast gets impaled on an icicle, his/her roars of agony echoes though the mountains causing an avalanche, burying the opponent in snow!
Strip - the dazed beast gets thrown up to the nearby treetops and lands in a tree hut full of hungry raptors! After a grisly feeding frenzy, the beast limps out of the hut with 90% of his/her flesh missing, he/she then succumbs to his/her wounds and collapses!
Ruins - the dazed beast gets thrown through a grate in the floor and ends up in an abandoned subway tunnel where he/she gets eaten by a giant maggot!
Tomb - the dazed beast gets thrown onto a stone podium, then a magic laser blasts down from the moon and turns the opponent into a statue!
Inferno - the dazed beast gets knocked onto a glowing red crack on the floor, suddenly it splits open and several demonic arms reach out and drags the beast to Hell!
+samandmrcheese I like the Inferno one. You could even throw a little Scorpion from Mortal Kombat cameo in there.

Update:
Hollows - the dazed beast is knock against the cave wall causing an earthquake. A boulder falls from the ceiling and lands on the beast. The boulder crumbles into smaller rocks and he/she gets back up, almost every bone in the dinosaur's/ape's body is broken but he/she won't give up. Limping towards the obvious victor, a stalactite falls from the ceiling and impales his/her skull in through the top of the head and out through the lower jaw.

If you take Mortal Kombat and Jurassic Park, and sprinkle in a little bit of medusa and King Kong in this, you get primal Rage.
I used to play this game on my old Super Nintendo years ago.

Primal Rage was a cool game I thought of it as Mortal Kombat but with Dinosaurs. I used to play this when I was in high school at the arcade when I had the chance it was always fun.

LOVED this game as a kid, the colors wre so cool looking. Talon's hurricane finisher was the most goriest with the eye hanging out 10/10

The whole move set is weird and non-intuitive.
I think the inputs are sorta backward. Hold buttons and then the joystick in a direction pulls off moves

I remember this game not only because of the obvious settings, but also because it was right at the entrance of the giant arcade in town so you always heard the sounds it made as you stood in line.

The final boss was going to be a bone dragon.
Sauron and Talon both belong in the "Evil" section, considering their endings. Blizzard, Armadon, and Chaos are the only good ones.
It seems like a long time ago this game came out. It was great.
A shame it did not have any sequels. Would love to see it

@Landon Rife I've been to Galloping Ghost Arcade to play the cabinet and it was great. When I downloaded it for MAME it was riddled with problems.

Nice Game. I do have this on a Compilation on PS2. I also have Boxed version on Amiga. Never played on an Arcade Cab. Nice to see all the Finishers. The best one has gotta be the Golden Shower.

There was a Pizza Hut in the 90s that I wanted to go to all the time, and half the reason was to play the Primal Rage cab they had. A few years later I got it for the Genesis and always made everyone mad when they figured out I had mapped button combinations to the 6-button controller to give myself an advantage. haha

I remember this game. I could never pull off the fatalities nor figure out how to eat worshippers...
I remember reading the "Crab" Grass Roots campaign on this game back in the day because an 11 year old boy had gotten their mom to buy the game and she saw that one Chaos fatality... loved how the publisher just basically countered that campaign with a "you didn't even bother checking the ESRB when letting your kid purchase the game" counter attack while pointing out that she went straight to the media rather than voicing complaint to the publishers themselves.
This was in the local pizza parlor of my hometown. Played it a bunch growing up. Absolutely terrible game but it was cool and very nostalgic for me now.
