    Well I must say the production quality on this video is very good 👍. Glad you got the issue resolved, everything looks less daunting with a can of thatchers to hand 🤪. Loving the paintwork 😉

      Many thanks. It still works by the way.........🤷‍♂️ My stunt work is very limited mind, due to dodgy knees and being scared of heights🥴
      Cheers guys👍

    10:25 It looks like the flame rectification electrode might have moved too close and wrong location. The correct positioning of the flame rectification electrode in relation to the gas burner element is crucial for proper flame sensing and ignition control. If it has moved (perhaps by the heat), it is possible to push it from the outside vent, back to its original position which is within the flame envelope.

      That was probably the cause in hindsight as it has performed faultlessly since installation. Many thanks.

    Hi Perry
    As our van is now 18 years old and definitely out of warranty, I was able to go probing!!
    😂
    Good luck with your warranty claim sorry I can't be of any help.

    we took the cover off and we have not had a problem since, apparently its an instillation issue with it not being lined up,

    Paul,
    Great video! I decided I would pull mine apart, however, I am experiencing issues with separating the water section from the heater section as there are many pipes and bits in the way and I am unsure what to remove and what not to remove. Can you assist in any way please?

    • @fijitoutandabout
      @fijitoutandabout  Před rokem +1

      Hi Ian
      The hot/cold pipes for the water are a simple connector that you unscrew as shown in video. As long as you drain boiler down by opening the drain valve you should be OK. Gas pipe is simply undoing the connection. Apart from wiring harness there are no further pipes to remove. Our van has reasonable access and removing the boiler was straight forward. I assume the sensor that was changed was the culprit even though it looked OK.
      Hope this helps. After refitting the unit, make sure you have no bits leftover and get a Gas safe person to check the connection.
      Good luck.

    I could see much but what’s under the plastic cover , my truma is leaking stream coming out the top in its coverings can’t see what’s wrong it’s under warranty still so I can’t go probing
