It's sad that this is the the type of games that everyone wants because it's so fun, yet no one in the AAA companies even thought about it. There is a flood of people waiting to see this type of content and I'm just so happy that there are still indie companies like Gun, who knows what the people wants. I'm so excited!

Well they made games similar but they’re in the style of PS1 Resident Evil. There’s the babysitter which is Halloween, power drill massacre and the Texas chainsaw massacre.

Honestly, I don't think I have any worries about this game. It's obvious that Gun Media has extreme passion for these classic horror movies. And they know their stuff, too. I just hope this game is what Friday was and more. I know they won't disappoint.

This is already a disappointment, I think Friday the 13th was the best out of all of this multiplayer games, the rest that came after are just very cheap like, especially with graphics. This should have been a story based game

I have high hopes for this game. I truly hope it doesn’t end up like Friday the 13th due to legal issues. I hope we can keep getting monthly updates, maps and even cosmetics. I can’t wait to see the road map for this game.

Unfortunately, I think they only have the rights to the first film. So there won't be much DLC unless they make their own.

That's my only fear is that it doesn't end up like F13 with the legal issues but I doubt it since I don't think Gun Media would've worked this hard on a new game only to have it back in a legal battle. I think Gun Media learned their lesson from the F13 game. I would love to keep the updates and stuff.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is my all time favorite movie. Leatherface deserves a team that'll do him right and with the love and attention to detail you guys did with Friday the 13th I think this game will be in good hands. I just gotta hope it'll be on ps4 cause I don't see myself owning a ps5 anytime soon

This game means so much for any F13 fan; in that hopefully this game will be what F13 could've been, the success it could've reached if it wasn't for something out of Gun Media's control. Personally, if this is ANYTHING like F13, and with the sheer terror Leatherface is gonna bring while sprinting at you with a chainsaw, it's gonna put his DBD counterpart to shame, and it will be a great horror game!

I loved F13 so much, way more than DbD. The variety of how to win, the different maps, the 7v1 formula, it was taken from us too soon. I'd love for Gun to still have 7v1 instead of 4v1. Looking forward to this.

Exactly f13 was so unique and it’s still really fun, I recently started playing it again to take a break from the repetitive dbd, and I’m probably never playing dbd again, it’s so boring, and to me there will never be another slasher game like f13 because the f13 franchise had so much to offer and had everything laid out perfectly for a slasher horror game.
Or 4 vs 2 and 6 vs 3 etc etc .. I’d love to have to go up against the chainsaw family

Multiplayer is honestly the best route. It’s the best form of survival and single player just doesn’t give the TCM the due respect of his potential.
I grinded Friday the 13th the game for 5 years now I’m going to grind this game hopefully it’s just as fun and mesmerizing as f13 was that game will always give me good memories

Being someone who played friday the 13th the game from start to end due to the law suit if GUN. uses the same mechanics and the game feels the same as ft13 this game is going to be huge.

Wont ever forget the legendary F13 era. God damn played it so much for 2 and a half years that I even platinum'd it on PS4. Hope this delivers and is somewhat similar.
Just recently watched this amazing film for the first time, and there is a game coming out? Unbelievable.
Better late than never. It's a true masterpiece of suspense and terror.
I'm so excited for this. I loved Friday the 13th when it was released and played almost every single day. I was addicted to it, but because of the lawsuit over the films it sadly had to stop being updated and all the future content never got released. I was so upset, I had around 200 hours into the game. But this looks like the new best thing from the same developers so I know it'll be just as fun if not more. Definitely my most anticipated game for 2022 at the moment now that Elden Ring finally was released.
I hope the screams are as terrifying in the game. No cringey dbd screams

When it comes to the Texas chainsaw massacre the “based on true events” send chills up my spine.
Technically in real life the real texas massacre actually only killed 2. what is twisted is he was found to have been grave robbing and using fresh corpses to make human leather furniture.

Okay, I looked at their website, And I’m instantly interested in this game!
Plus it’s safe to say that this game will be different than Friday the 13th.
Out of all the info so far from the website, 2 things stand out:
1. This game will have multiple killers consisting of the Sawyer family, Bubba Sawyer aka Leatherface is once such iconic member of the family. Plus, this will have multiple killers vs survivors matches. That sounds epic!👍
2. Speaking of the Sawyer family, Kim Henkel (The Writer of the original 1974 film) will be working with Gun to make official new members of the family from the ground up, based on his ideas he had for multiple characters that sadly had to be cut from the 1974 movie at the time. So that means, not only are we getting Leatherface, the hitchhiker, and The Old Man aka The Cook as killers, but also new characters that while they will be new and unique, they will still have the feel like they belong in the Sawyer family.

*Update* I looked at the website yet again, this time about the music. They’re making this game big levels of nightmare fuel since the score or music will literally be played with a actual horror instrument known as, The Apprehension Engine. Aka, the instrument of nightmares.
The terrifying music and sounds, according to the website, will even play along with other creepy, eerie, and sometimes straight up scary and horrifying sound effects including Pigs, dogs, human screams, and even the Aztec Death Whistle.
Gun is going ALL IN with this TCM game, props to them!😊👍

Compared to Gun’s previous game, Friday the 13th, this game will likely be more violent, scarier, and intense in comparison.
Plus the concept of a team of a few killers vs a whole team of survivors will truly make this game the first of its kind in the asymmetrical multiplayer game genre.
And also, after looking even further in the website, the soundtrack or music in general for the game will be played with a Apprehension Engine. You know, the instrument of nightmares.
The terrifying music will even be played along a variety of creepy, eerie, and sometimes even straight up scary sound effects including Pigs, Dogs, human screams, and even the terrifying Aztec Death Whistle.
I have a feeling this game will truly shine in some ways that other multiplayer horror games never could. And I’m all up for it.😁👍

I love how authentic this feels to the original movie. I definitely get the vibe from this that this will be a much scarier game than Friday the 13th, which was a lot of fun, but was based on a franchise never as scary or disturbing as the original Texas chainsaw massacre in my opinion. Like I said, I love both, I just think this could be a lot more intense and visceral than Friday the 13th the game, if they pull it off.
Facts! F13 game is fun as fuck. But yeah This has much more of an eerie tone to it that matches with the original! I hope we get a single player mode. As i think that has the potential to be more scary!
I'm a huge Friday the 13th fan, my fav slasher franchise but none of them hold a candle to the orginal TCM in the horror department. I jus hope the lighting is as dark & contrasted as it is here, the Friday the 13th game was alittle too bright
Yeah it does, but that's just the thing, Texas Chainsaw Massacre of 1974 is based on actual events, therefore it's got to be handled more carefully than the other horror characters and settings like Halloween and Friday the 13th. It's incredible the level of immersion a short trailer can have, but at the same time I can't help but think that because of the events based on reality, it might be stepping over a line, or at least on the verge. See, with games like Manhunt, it's all fictitious, but it had so much backlash because of the brutality and gore in it. I read that the developers are in communications with the original writer, so it'll be great if they take stuff like that into consideration.
@@Johny40Se7en Texas chainsaw massacre is very, VERY loosely based on actual events. It was primarily inspired buy the serial killer ed gein (as are many fictitious serial killers) but hardly anything depicted in the texas chainsaw massacre actually happened. The opening narration of the film says that it's based on a real massacre, but it's simply not true. It's basically a marketing lie, so it's cool that this game is referencing that. The original film might have inspired movies like The Blair Witch project, seeing how much the audience will believe if you tell them it's real. I find that kind of marketing for the horror genre really interesting.
IF they pull it off. And that's a big if.

If the hitch hiker gets ya he blows your Brains out if his twin gets ya he rips you up
If the little girl gets ya you get the trap death so on so forth

Really was hoping for a Halloween game, but if this has similar mechanics to Friday the 13th the game I'm in regardless of the fact that it's Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There's still no other asymmetric horror multiplayer game as good as Friday the 13th so hopefully this will give us a worthy successor.

Imagine some people accidentally re-create the ending of the original film where your the last woman/man limping (if theres a body damage mechanic thing in the game) and then you start hearing the revving of the chainsaw as you then feel utter dread and just keep on limping not even trying to look back as the exit is right there THAT is what I hope this game can do, be able to re-create that dread and suspense of the first film
