Emma (Phillipa Soo) and Jesse (Luke Bracey) are the perfect couple. High school sweethearts who fell in love, got married and left their small town in Massachusetts, to pursue their own dreams. I felt bad for him because he was in love with her when they were in high school and she married Jesse and when she found out her husband was dead hit her so hard she took off her ring and started to live again and she saw Sam again and they started dating and having fun and he proposed and she find love all over again and husband was alive and she had to tell him that she was engaged and it was hard for him, but her friend was right. She has to choose someone or else she’s going to get someone hurt

I agree with you. This is my opinion but I would’ve honestly like if she got none of them because sam deserves someone better who has no doubt that he is the one they love and Jesse deserved to know the truth sooner but instead she just kinda played him and even slept with him which was really messed up because she was engaged with Sam.
