    We take a look at the WideWheel Pro Electric Scooter. This is an awesome commuter scooter that you can have a lot of fun on thanks to the dual suspension, wide tires, and disk brakes. We shoot some FPV and drone footage, and perform a hill climb test as well.

    Remember the lighter the scooter the more vibration passes through to YOU. In Bike while practicing for races I opted for a Univega all chromolly steel bike which weighed a good 40 lbs over carbon fiber. It just soaked up bumps and tiny pot holes.
    On race day it was back to the Carbon fiber bike. Weight can be a good thing.

I feel like I’m going to fly very stable as the wide wheels provide that good traction nothing stop it on his way small rocks, pot holes, bumps , any small object I just roll over with a 1000 watts power I get compliments with such a cool looking scooter.

      @@AlienRides of course. Always great reviews. I have ridden the boosted rev, but have not ridden this scooter. How does the widewheel pro compare to the boosted rev speed/acceleration wise? Ride comfort wise? And range wise?
      Which do you like better and why?
      I think maybe splurging a bit more and going for a zero 8x or mantis base would give you better range/ performance than a wide wheel pro right?

    • @AlienRides
      @AlienRides  Před 4 lety

      Gregory Patzelt it feels like this scooter has about similar power to the boosted rev, I get about the same top speed on both, 24 mph or so. I think this scooter should do a bit better range wise too. At a lower price, I think the wide wheel wins over the rev.

    • @gregorypatzelt6964
      @gregorypatzelt6964 Před 4 lety +1

      @@AlienRides where it gets really hard is where to stop your budget as you can spend a bit more and get a zero 8x, mantis, dualtron raptor 2/ the new dualtron eagle, or even a speedway 5.

    • @AlienRides
      @AlienRides  Před 4 lety

Put about 10 local miles on it testing them out breaking them in. I kept hearing a humming noise coming from the back I went home and took off the fender no more humming noise. I guess the way they push the air. Oh well I don't ride in wet conditions anyways. The tires are real nice. They're smooth, silent an excellent grip. It turns on a rail now. Thanks for the video! I would definitely take the Widewheel Pro over a Boosted Rev. Now that I have a few hundred miles on my base Mantis I am definitely happy I picked it up. I love being able to keep up with most San Francisco traffic on the Mantis. When I need the portability I go back to my Speedway Mini-IV or Ecoreco L5+. Now that I have grown accustomed to the Mantis on BART I have been using it as my daily commuter more often. Since I have the reverse commute on BART I don't need to fold my scooter up as much so the Mantis has been working out.
    Perhaps there are some more extreme hills in Potrero. They may not be as long as California but I believe the grade is greater. I know one of my e-bikes had no problem with California but I think it was the top of Mississippi street that stalled it out.

      @@AlienRides I did a lot of mountain biking back in the day on and around Tam. I don't recall super steep roads. They had to make sure people could traverse most roads under normal human power bicycles. The Potrero hill streets have some length to them and definitely have the steepness. I have not had the stem wobble, but I've only put 200-300 miles on it probably. First off, this is a great video, you are one of the leading channels in electronic scooters.
    I just don’t understand how you got only 24MPH? Mine easily hits 28MPH. And all of them should hit 26MPH.
    Many people who test the wide wheels top speed, test it under 50v. Charge it to 54v+ and then change it to ludicrous mode. Than you should be going 26+ MPH!
    To change software
    Hole down one brake lever, cruise control, and power button at the same time. Than go click power button once to turn on P1, 01. And to set it click and hold both power and cruise control.

    • @AlienRides

    I ride a motorcycle around the Bay Area and San Francisco. However, sometimes I take the Shared scooters to get around the neighborhood in SF.
    I work about 1,8 miles from work.
    I’ve been thinking about the onewheel for the longest time, but then I saw the widewheel, I was impressed. Which one to get?
    - I need to be able to fit it on my motorcycle
    - I want to be able to get quickly around the neighborhood
    - sometimes take it to work
    - and when I travel I’d like to take it with as well

      Yeah, that's an awesome idea. Would be great to be able to measure both the battery and motor temperature. I'll have to see how we can do this in the future!

    Is it possible to disable a motor on the dual version?

      So I'm actually not sure. There's different speed modes though and the throttle curve is controllable so you should be fine!

      @@AlienRides Thanks for the answer! The fact is that in Italy electric scooter to be allowed to go in public streets must have a 500w motor so I fear I could have some issue with it, that's why I was asking.. Thanks anyway!
