Being installed on the door side of the pillar cover is far better than installing it on the windscreen side, because your way shouldn't interfere with the curtain airbags. I just checked the website for specs. Apparently it does "True 4K". That's great, because most of the time when companies say they have 4K (eg. CZcams videos), they're actually UHD. Apparently it's far more than just a pair of dash cams. According to their site, it also has lane assist, driver fatigue reminder (I don't know how, because it's not in front of the driver), GPS route recording, forward collision warning, pedestrian collision warning and integration with Google Maps (probably for the route recording).

How do you store a recording if something happens but doesn't trigger it? Is there a button or voice command or something? Thanks

Is there a hardwire kit available or do you need to cut the supplied cable?
