These are great cars. The rear seats actually have a 40-20-40 split. You can split or join them to fold as required. I personally don't use the clearsight mirror unless the rear window is blocked because, unlike the real mirror, it doesn't focus at infinity so you have to actually refocus when you look at it; a minor annoyance but one to be aware of before ticking the box. The Evoque is also much easier to drive if you use both hands and use a mount for the gopro!
We've had 4 JLR vehicles, including an old model Evoque, for 14 years. I've had a software problem that occesionally blanked the central display screen and a sticky fuel filler cover on a 2008 XF and a blown AC relay on the 2016 Evoque. Apart from that, totally reliable.
Not a particularly safe way of driving by how your doing it. Left hand at 7 o'clock position - not good; right hand holding your phone(?) - not good. Besides that, like this car!
