    Love the set up man! I have the Zcam F6, looking to get a S6 as a bcam. With that Anamorphic lens you had on it, is that adapted or native. I thought they only made that for MFT mount?

    • @HaydenGoldsworthy
      @HaydenGoldsworthy  Před 3 lety

      I thought I had replied to this! I used the MFT mount to adapt the anamorphic to it. It's true it was just made for MFT, but it nearly covers the entire s35mm sensor too, pretty good stuff!

    Hi Hayden, nice video. Thank you for the detailed breakdown. At some point you mentioned that there’s word of a third party x-mount for the z-cam. Can you point me to where you’ve read this? I haven’t been able to find mention of it. If true, i’d run to the store, since I already own a lot of Fuji glass.

  • @AtomicPixel
    @AtomicPixel Před 3 lety

    Solid video brother! Been thinking about the z cam or used c100 mark ii for weddings.
    Do you ever use the autofocus during wedding days?

    • @HaydenGoldsworthy
      @HaydenGoldsworthy  Před 2 lety +1

      hey buddy! Sorry for the delay. I do not use autofocus on wedding days. I do have a Sony a7s3 in my kit now that I do use sometimes. It's nice for when the bride walks down the aisle!

    • @AtomicPixel
      @AtomicPixel Před 2 lety

      @@HaydenGoldsworthy no worries! Better now than never!
      Last question - do you think a z cam is slower/more hassle to change settings quickly when compared to your a7/mirrorless cameras?
      Speed is the name of the game for wedding days I’m afraid z cam’s and other cameras like it would be more suited for commercial or shoots where you have more time for setup.
      Thoughts?

    • @HaydenGoldsworthy
      @HaydenGoldsworthy  Před 2 lety +1

      @@AtomicPixel you’re 110% right with this one. If you want speed, the clutch handle I use fixes that. Over time I’ve gotten just as quick at adjusting settings on the z cam as I am on cameras like my Fuji or Sony! You could even use your phone as the monitor and it would probably be quicker than the Sony tbh. I still pick my z cam over my a7s3 at weddings.

    Thanks for taking the time to share this. Great work. I have a question though, the Nitze vmount adapter you have looks like the E2-FS-version 2 and they are currently out of stock and difficult to get now, but Nitze contacted me and said they have newer versions (version 3 with long or short bracket). I tend to use the Sony type NPF 970/980 batteries and not sure if the long or short bracket will be sufficient without too much breathing room. What size bracket was your version and what NPF types do you use to fit snuggly?

    • @HaydenGoldsworthy
      @HaydenGoldsworthy  Před 3 lety +1

      That's a dang good question. I am aware that their new adapter has some new options like you've mentioned, but I have no idea what the first version (the one I have) would equate to. I'd assume no matter which version you get, the middle sized 970 batteries would fit just fine. I believe the long version is meant for people who are using the SDI adapter for z cam but I may be wrong. This may be a good question to ask in the z cam facebook group. I'll be on the lookout for this!

    • @GarCorStudio
      @GarCorStudio Před 3 lety

      @@HaydenGoldsworthy 😜🤗Thanks so much for the reply. And yes, some interesting new features are added eg SSD holder built in, improved cable management, etc. But I kinda want to go back to basics a little. I currently either use the NPFs direct, or my FXLion vmount plate adapted to a rail system, or my recently purchased updated Tilta vmount adapter plate Type II (not the chunky type I version) which I quite like but has it's flaws in that it blocks some of the ports. Anyways, see you in the forums and keep up the great talented work.

      99% of my content is shot handheld with this setup. The weight distribution is key to a solid handheld look which I find more natural than IBIS.

    Awesome video! The only thing I’m hesitant about the zcam is that for solo wedding shooting and with gimbal it feels like you want a robust autofocus (like a7siii). Do you have any advice/insight in this area?
