Du glaubst aber auch alles !!! In dieser Serie ist doch alles nur Fake ! Beispiel gefällig ! Amerikanische LKW werden als deutsche ausgegeben..... Amerikanische Lokomotiven werden als deutsch ausgegeben.....

I did some research on this, apparently Hogan's Heroes wasn't broadcast in Germany until around 1993, the subject being too sensitive before that. Its first run was not successful however, while the sensitivity had faded the dubbing itself was a problem, lips were moving in English and not matching the words, it was too distracting. The show had made a comeback though in recent years and proved quite popular, with digital remastering fixing the synching issue.

i am german speaking and the dubbing is world class. Whoever did the dubbing has a masters degree, it is dead boring in english compared to the german version.
