- 7-year-old Raymond Delapena walked with Rachel Droze through the destruction of his Mayfield home after tornadoes caused devastation across Kentucky.
He was worried about his yogurt and his little sister. He is what this country needs more of . Real men :)

Raymond is a good artist, intelligent and appears verbally gifted. I realize this isn't related to the tornado, but his parents should have him evaluated for Gifted and Talented (G/T) classes. with his thirst for learning and his focused nature, he could go far with the right guidance through school and home. He is an admirable young man!!
I hope they see this post and pursue an academic track in which he will excel.

No, thankfully he IS a kid and also a great big brother. I'm happy to see how he's in kid world mode and this horrible tornado is just part of a story for him. He's a little extrovert and having good time being on camera. Need more stories like this.

My heart goes for those who have been affected by the recent tornadoes in several places. Our prayers for those who have lost their loved ones and for those who lost their homes and properties due to this disaster.
I pray that we need to realize that GOD is the One who saves, and not the bed or anything that we try to hold on to, in times of danger or distress. Please let us not forget to thank our Heavenly FATHER first and foremost, all the time.

To the mother, you are alive still and that is something to be grateful for. Many were buried under rubble, and will not reunite with their families. Count your blessings ❤️.

You are BLESSED. You should be GREATFUL and full of GOD'S JOY. People lost their home and their 3 car's . They too have life. Husband, wife and adult son. 1 day after Thanksgiving. They woke up to smoke and 🔥 fire. Burned. But GREATFUL. In ANOTHER STATE. THANK YOU JESUS HALLELUJAH AMEN 🛐. They have a go fund me page. People come by and take a shuttle and clean up. They brought an outhouse and bulldozer to help. Junkyard gives 4 cents a pound only. But, every penny counts.

It's only muddy because she is standing in the middle of a mud road. Plenty of grass and pavement behind her. Reporters do this crap all the time.
I live 15 miles from Mayfield....in Murray, KY. They obviously interviewed the family shortly after the tornado. After the tornado we had 4 sunny days but unfortunately Thursday it started raining and has rained everyday since. The rain is really our worse enemy at the moment. Big machinery is sinking because of the mud and the weight of the machine. Please don't be so negative when you obviously don't know what you are talking about. Western KY has been hit HARD....some towns will never recover from this. Marshall County was hit hard, Princeton, KY was hit hard, Breman, KY was hit hard, Dawson Springs, KY was hit hard, etc. If you think it's such a joke, come to Kentucky and see it for yourself. Actually, we could use your help!

I was in Banda Aceh right after the tsunami hit Indonesia. It leveled everything. Over 100,000 people died. We lived in actual shit for 2 months because the ocean filled the sewers and put the contents on top of the ground. They also didn't find everyone that fast. Are you smelling rotting bodies yet? You never forget that smell. I was also living in the Napa area of Northern Califorinia for the past 3 fire seasons. I also did tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I was in the military for over 20yr and did humanitarian missions like hurricane relief and earth quakes all over the world. I even help evacuate civilian personnel from the Fukushima area after that tsunami. Some of my family had everything destroyed in the Tuscaloosa tornado. I have seen more death and destruction than most. Count your blessing you ain't got it that bad. It could be so much worse, but you don't have the experience to know it. I pray things get better for ya'll but you kneed to get some perspective. Be thankful you have a government that is able to help rebuild. Be thankful you live in America. I'm done ranting. My comments wasn't about the suffering ya'll are going through. Things will get better. Embrace the difficulties you are facing. You will come out of this more resilient on the other side. In the military this is called embracing the suck. Good luck.
