- Remember the only difference between a formal letter or email is length. At least as far as official exams are concerned. Whether you're preparing for a Cambridge, TOEFL, EOI, PEARSON or Trinity exam, follow this video for writing tips. We'll be looking at the use of phrasal verbs, acronyms, contractions, slang, formal words and alternatives, how to begin and end a formal letter /email. Wow, you really blew my mind when explaining the final ING form. I did it till now out of know why I did it that way. And of course sometimes I did it good using a common frases but sometimes I did it wrong by using non common frases, but now I'm gonna take a closer attention. 👍

Hola, tengo una duda: comentas la regla que despues de TO el verbo va en infinitivo y después dek FOR en -ing, no entiendo pues porque en la frase "I look forward to hearing from you" está el verbo con -ing si la expresions "I look forward to" acaba con un "TO". Muchas gracias!!
Tienes que ver [I look forward to] como un bloque (es una expresión entera y no palabras sueltas) 🍸ese "to" no va con el verbo
Gracias por esta explicación!. Me surgen dos dudas:
1) si ponemos I look forward to your reply, por ejemplo.....entonces no se debe poner should you have any doubt do not hesitate to contact me...o se pueden incluir ambas expresiones?
2) ¿es necesario poner un nombre ficticio en la carta tras yours sincerely or yours faithfully? o ¿se puede terminar la carta solo con esas frases?
