- This video will show you how to replace the fuel pressure regulator on the 2003-2005 Flex Fuel Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon and should also cover the Silverado, Sierra, Suburban using the 5.3 Flex Fuel. Fuel pressure regulator was purchased from Amazon and listed below is a link to it.

Google says this could be the reason for my Tahoe having high fuel smell. Thanks for this video. Its a cheap enough part to try first.
I"m getting a P0300 and P0440. Thanks for you help. Wish I could've troubleshot this earlier but was focusing on the P0300 and costed me a pretty penny.
How’d you get rid of the p0300? I’m having that problem now.
Yes details please please??
I replaced mine. It makes such a difference.
That vacuum line was cracked but I'm going to change the whole part good video
Very helpful video thanks
Great vid thank for the help!!
I will say this, I replaced with exact part and plastic white ring broke and made it leak gas. Got another one same brand and didn’t have white ring. Wasn’t sure about it. But used it anyway and so far so good. Would recommend taking the white ring off.
Helpful. Thank you
Thank you very helpful
Thank you so much
Thank you for your time and showing
Video helps alot
Is the C5 Corvette filter/regulator a compatible upgrade for this type of fuel system? Any change to the fuel rail?
Thanks
I saw u u had the lock on the dash but it still start how did you bypass
Why the ignition turn three times? And what fuel pressure should I see on a 5.3L Flex fuel engine? Having some issues after injector replacements.
I hope this solves my issue. Fuel pressure won’t hold, hard to start .
If your losing fuel pressure after shutting off most likely the check valve is bad in your fuel pump.
How can I test this sensor? To see if its bad?
Excellent video helped me fix my problem!
If you don’t mind explaining, What was the problem you were having?
@@alvaromedina8061 I was having a hard start problem
@@jeffreybellows5051 I’ve been having the same problem for a long time. I think I’m going to buy the part and replace it this weekend to see if it helps. Thank you !
@@alvaromedina8061did it fix? I have extended crank issue, but if i cycle the key it will start up fine
@@gsd5.785 unfortunately it didn’t work. I bought the part and took the engine cover off just to find out that my 2005 Yukon XL does not have the fuel pressure regulator on that fuel line. It’s actually in my fuel pump assembly. I’m sure it would have worked though. Now it’s time to replace the fuel pump assembly all together.
This guy explained it pretty good czcams.com/video/6RKdOu4dylM/video.htmlsi=Ann4xJHYu-LyuOQB
Could this possibly be the reason for my multiple misfire code? Just came up after I replaced the fuel filter.
A fuel pressure regulator works to maintain proper and consistent pressure for the injectors during a variety of driving conditions. Pressure that is too high can cause misfiring and increase vehicle emissions. Low pressure can cause poor vehicle performance and slow - or no - starts.
My 03 avalanche has no flex fuel badges or gas cap or anything but for some reason the flex fuel regulator is on it did someone replace it with thee wrong one?
Just changed mine if the vacuum line had a small crack should I replace it too
I would so you get the correct vacuum on it. If it’s a very small crack you could also try and seal it with some super glue.
I have a 99 yukon denali that has the spider injection ports inside the manifold. Where would i find the fuel pressure regulator?
Assuming you have the 5.7L unfortunately it’s not as easy as the 5.3 in the video. It is located underneath the upper intake manifold which requires removal of that and also draining the cooling system. And unfortunately I don’t have a video on that right now.
@BLUECOLLARGARAGE it is the 5.7. Everything is inside the manifold. Drat.
Bro would can this part cause a rough start?
Yes it can
Does replacing this regulator help reduce fuel consumption? Please reply
No this will not increase fuel milage
THESE come preadjusted already? What symptoms your tahoe had prior?
Yes no adjustment. This Tahoe was cutting out sometimes while driving but ended up being a bad fuel pump.
When this happen were your rpm revving high into the 6000s while driving..?? Mines accelerates slowly gains speed but feels either sluggish or like it needs air I doubt its my tranny?
No issues with rpms. It was having issues with starting sometimes and had a miss ended up being the fuel pump that was the issues. Have you checked your fuel pressure at all?
Can you re use the clip or I have to replace it
You can reuse it as long as it’s not bent.
🤠👍💯
Easy as 123
Got mine for 10.00 off ebay.....:-)
Did exactly the same thing. Leaks like a sob.. put the old one back..still leaks..wth
Did you make sure the snap ring is fully seated?
@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE I’m seeing 2 different kinds for the same 2002. The original one the nipple comes straight out as the new one
@@zman5970 the one in my video is a flex fuel so the vacuum line nipple comes out middle of the regulator and the non flex fuel vehicles it the nipple will come off the bottom of the regulator. The snap ring I was referring to is more of a clip I guess, it’s the one that keeps the regulator tight against the fuel rail just make sure that’s snapped all the way in the grooves and and is facing the right way. May want to just pull it out again and double check the o rings to make sure there’s no tears and they are not getting pinched.
Great video but the kind of part was killing me every second you kind of hold it kind of put this here kind of do this kind of do that either you do or you don't. I just don't understand the whole kind of part
I’ll kind of keep that in mind next time
Thanks
