- We visited Santa's Land in Cherokee, NC!
This Theme Park and Zoo was opened in June of 1966. Santa's Land is a small kids theme park with several rides including a roller coaster called the " Rudicoaster".
Most of the rides have been on property since the opening including the carousel, cars and more.
The zoo portion of the theme park has plenty of animals including Camels, Deer, Bears, Macaws, Goats and much more.
This theme park feels like nostalgia as you wander around. If you want to go back in time to the late 70's or early afternoon 80's, this is the place for you. This theme park also has several "animatronic" houses that are fun to check out.
Don't forget to take a ride around the park on the train! The entire property is covered in this video including a food review, fudge review, A magic show and meeting SANTA!
This theme park is tucked away in the Smoky Mountains and is easily accessible from I-40 or Gatlinburg.
If you have a chance to check out this park, make sure you do it! Prices are great, people were great, the park was great!
Go along with us to Santa's Land and Zoo in Cherokee, NC! You ready? Let's go!
I absolutely loved this place as a child. I went in the early 90's and it's always held a special memory in my heart.
so happy to say that i am the girl that made the jelly donut fudge! come see me at mrs claus kitchen and candy and you can try some jelly donut fudge! thank you so much for trying my jelly donut fudge!
That is still my favorite fudge ever! I literally tell me people about to this day 🤤 I’m coming to see you for sure.
Wow, this place has not changed at all since I was there back in 1989.
I don’t think it’s changed since the 60s!
Loved this place as a kid. Cant believe its still open
I still go.
Great video of a great park. Family is moving to North Carolina and this looks to be a great stop while visiting.
Ive recently just started working here. Great people. Im enjoying my tenure. I decided to get on youtube and see guest reactions. All rides minus The Rudi-Coaster have been there since open. Rudi came in 1990. I myself as a worker wonder what the appeal is about this park......after speaking with guests......mostly families with small children love this park because their smaller children can ride just about everything there as opposed to Dollywood or a larger park......I began to see the appeal then and the demographic.....Its aimed at smaller children, not so much teenagers or adults. Im glad you enjoyed your time here. I hope to see you and say hello, If you ever come back!
We will be back this summer for sure!
@@JonnyAmusement Awesome! My name is Adrian. Im looking forward to seeing you guys!
What’s wrong you don’t wanna swim through duck poop to get your phone?😂 we have a very similar park here in egg harbor Township New Jersey. It’s called storybook land. Based on the three little pigs and such stories. It’s 20 acres and it opened in 1955. Family owned. I took both my kids there and now my grandkids. It’s also very retro and Santa visits in the month of December. Parks like these that are so clean are very pleasing to the eye. If I’m ever in the area I would certainly take my grandkids here. Thx for sharing.
Thanks for watching! The poop don’t bother me as much as the giant snapping turtles and snakes. 😂
When you said Santa’s Land is an old theme park, you are SO right! My parents took me when I was 7 or 8 years old right after it first opened in the 60’s Such wonderful memories. I still have my souvenir bracelet from there!
Did your parents ever take you to Frontier Land in Cherokee in the late 70s?
What a fun family Santa's Land adventure. Very clean, and wonderful rides for all. The shops all looked very nice. Oh of coarse Santa was the best. The children are so very well behaved. Enjoy your videos, and look forward to more. Blessings !!
Thanks for watching! That is such a fun park. We plan on visiting each year now.
Ahh it still looks the same from when I was young, I didn't realize how many times the coaster went around. Bummer on the phone situation as well, I love those boats
Brand new phone… gone 😩
@@JonnyAmusement they need someone there that you pay extra to go in and get stuff like that
@@b.a.d.adventures I would have gave that dude 100 bucks easily lol
@@JonnyAmusement on my way to Santa land! Lol
BEAUTIFUL VIDEO AMD BEAUTIFUL FAMILY THANK YOU
Now this is nostalgic! My parents took me here in 1994 when I was 4 years old. I always remembered it but I could never remember the name or where it was.
For the Crown! I havent been to this park since I was in pre-k
I remember standing in that place in 1979 the people who owned it were talking about how they thought they were going out of business and I told them that they couldn’t close it . I was seven years old lol
The kids are so little here!!! I am just going through and watching your channel on shuffle and this came on!! so little!
The trashcan toppers are scary!! Lmbo! I always wanted to go to Santa land. Looks so sweet and quaint. Definitely looks like small kid stomping grounds.
I’m actually from Cherokee NC and when my daughter was growing up this was her favorite place to go. So during the summer I would get season passes so she could go as much as she wanted. We would bring our lunch and picnic, then she would ride every ride about 20 times. After a few trips the workers began to remember us and were always so pleasant. There was a man that drove the little train and he would always let my daughter sit beside him and help drive lol. Idk if he still works there but he always made sure that my daughter had fun.
Awesome memories!
I was thinking about going here so looked for vids and yours came up! It looks so quaint and, yea weird lol! I def wanna go one day. And I too have lost a phone to theme park waters, my iPhone fell into Seven Seas Lagoon at Magic Kingdom a few years ago, I always think about it when I take the ferryboat lol!! It's a right of passage, if you haven't lost an iPhone in some theme park body of water, have you even lived? lol!
IN FACT, YOU HAVE NOT LIVED! Hope you guys are doing well. It's a fun park and worth a stop. Next time you are in Pigeon Forge, you are only about an hour and half away at most from it.
i was 8 when i went there last. it is small but it has everything a kid needs to be entertained for a few hours. so glad it survived through covid!!
Still small and I’m betting it hasn’t changed a bit.
Awwww I have so many pictures of when I was little and me and my cousin there. Maybe we need a cousins trip there. Thanks for posting!
Such a fun place and the nostalgia is real! Thanks for watching.
I remember driving past this, it was closed, when I was visiting Cherokee while staying in Maggie Valley as a 10 year old child. (2009) Michael Jackson died while we were there. I will never forget that. We got 5 day passes to Ghost town in the sky. It was an amazing time and I know I will be able to experience some the same feelings that ghost town have me in Dollywood.
It has some retro vibes to it for sure! I never went to ghost town but I remember the commercials and always wanted to go. I always hoped it would somehow reopen open day. Doesnt look like that’s going to ever happen though.
I loved this place when I was little!!! So fun. Great to see y'all having fun there. Chris, Charleston, SC.
It was awesome! Love the retro vibes that place gives you.
Your kids have Great Parents!
That’s a heck of a way to put it! 😂😂😂 thank you! We are doing everything we can to make memories that will last a lifetime.
Very Nice video very good you are Nice.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.

Ride are included for the price
I hate seeing the animals in conceret cages, especially the deers.
I’ve been here numerous times, the deer and other animals have plenty of room to run around and are well taken care of
What is conceret??? These animals are well taken care of.
