I think she did, actually. Not by a lot, but she does have one single team where she actually feels needed for, and that's Neuvillette c0 teams with Nahida and an electro unit. Because of his low stagger resistance Dehya's field keeps Neuvillette from staggering when he attacks and he can float back for when her stagger resistance ends. Plus this team allows him to get all three triggers because Dehya's slow pyro application combined with Nahida applying 1.5 dendro means you get burning which Neuvillette can vap. This plus bloom and electro charge gives Neuvillette the three reactions he needs for his passive
Now obviously this is a team that needs three (3) specific 5 stars to work, two of which are limited (or four/three if your elector is Raiden like mine is) and Neuvillette's c1 is better since it lets you use Furina. But this still is a team Dehya actually improves, which I really like
Keqing, Jean, Diluc, and arguably Qiqi got it so yeah there’s hope.
Till then, my triple crown desert queen will continue stomping hydro slimes regardless.
The dehya hype still lives with me 😤. I'm just waiting to hopefully get a dehya con soon😢
Almost feels like Xiangling and Fischl are also golden children to hoyo given every single character and artifact set and weapon seems to buff them
Xiangling really hasn’t gotten any buffs in a long time, not since EoSF/The Catch. Really, the only thing that makes Xiangling good is that they didn’t add ICD to her burst, if they had, she’d be mid-tier, at best. She’s always benefited from being an early-development oversight.
Fischl has always been strong, and because she is so strong, she disproportionately benefits from any buffs to her element or playstyle. So while Fischl has benefited a ton from various new additions to the game, she’s always been top-tier already, so it didn’t much affect her ranking.
I'd like to say genshin knowing how much they wanna sell us stuff, bet they hate characters like Xiangling and all bec they're too good that people can complete the game with those free 4 stars but then they're soo good hoyo can't make anyone better bec it'd be too broken..so they're stuck

xiangling got a variety of new teams since emblem + catch update. Chevreuse in particular was really nice, and xiangling has good teams with every Fontaine 5 star

@@polychromaa I guess she can team with a lot of Fontaine 5-stars, but I wouldn’t say that they elevated her in any significant way. She’s still just about as good as she ever was, just with different teammates around her. I don’t think her newer teams are necessarily stronger than her existing ones, just different.
She’s obviously great with Furina, but that’s more because Furina is great with everyone.
Kuki had an absurd glowup, I used to make fun of how bad she was but now she's really good
Tbf, she was only "bad" for like 2-3 months before 3.0. She's been incredible for almost a year and a half now

She was designed specifically to work with dendro, there was only one patch between her release and the release of dendro. I have no idea why people don't put two and two together.
@@zed60k47 people DID at the time. Now that it's been a year and a half people forget, and there have also been enough new players who just don't know
There's one character that could've been in this list. Jean. With the release of Furina she because viable again because of how good her healing is. But with the release of Cloud Retainer, who not only heals but also provides a plunge attacks buff, Jean got immediately powercrept. Her time to shine was so short :c
XY didn't really powercreep her, she's just a sidegrade since not every team can or wants to add plunges to their rotations, and in those teams XY is just Jean with worse healing longer field time and higher ER requirements.
Well the thing with Jean was she never was that terrible, mainly cuz she is Anemo+Healing, and she buffs a lot with VV set. So yes she did improve a lot with Furina, but again she never was terrible.
I wouldn't say Xianyun powercrept her, as her healing isn't as good as Jean. So depending on which team you use, you will use one or the other.
there was no better feeling than being a keqing main pre-3.0 and watching everyone realize how good keqing is with dendro. my keqing now hits like a truck with aggravate
As a Keqing Main since release, her massive power spike with Dendro was so satisfying. Even though she lead me to my first 36-star Abyss clears back in 1.X, she was definitely lacking good team options to support her playstyle. Most early builds just relied on her ridiculously OP charged attack, but even that couldn’t keep up with amplifying reactions. Dendro gave her access to a reaction that actually fit her kit, and was the final nail in the coffin of the stamina-hungry, CA-spam builds.
Ugh… The fact that one of the most popular early builds for her was physical damage is just sad…
Furina and Nahida both greatly buff our girl Keqing. Add in jean or any other healer. And boom, you destroy everything. Even covers elements for abyss quite well.

I definitely think that Diluc and Kokomi could be given honorable mentions! But I think that Noelle, Xiao and Keqing DEFINITELY deserved their placements here.

@@icxun1035 barbara and lisa are both still pretty bad honestly, lisa has her very easily interrupted skill that she has to do because of her energy issues (and her tap skill at c1 used to generate energy but they nerfed it, id say shes gotten worse), barbara doesnt even produce energy particles and has a lot of downtime on her healing and tiny hydro application as a result. dont forget cryo enemies too lol. there is very little reason to use either of these characters if you're above ar 40
Kokomi hasn't really changed much since her release. Her BiS set is still Tenacity on most of her teams, and Thrilling Tales and Prototype are still her best weapons. Dendro helped her a bit, but outside of Nilou Bloom, she is pretty replaceable on other Dendro teams. She did recieve another buff through Furina though, making Mono Hydro viable, and taser teams that use her and Furina with Fischl, but she's always been a very strong unit since her initial release, and hasn't grown to the point of being an honorable mention.
@JosepiThe13th Kokomi's relevance was boosted due to the rise of on field driver teams, the Hydro resonance being changed to boost hp, clam set, and then Nahida n Nilou
@@lyneyed I very much disagree. Lisa is a really strong unit in dendro now. Not as good as Fischl but still very good. I mean she is an early character so her "improvement" has been a lot. Her interrupted skill you either just dodge or use a shield, like baizhu. Barbara not as much but she is still a great starter dendro unit, and can be utilised in other teams
Totally agree with Kuki, it warms my heart to this day what a massive buff dendro was to her. I was one of those Kuki-copers in the late 2.X patches when she was first released. I had a good feeling she was meant for dendro but I had no idea how rediculously OP she would be. Essentially on par with the mighty Raiden Shogun herself.
If it was my list though, I don't think Albedo quite makes the cut. I'd probably put Jean in there. Arguably Noelle got an even bigger boost than her from Furina, but they're close. Albedo would be honorable mention, and I'd probably add Kokomi and Yae Miko to those.
I was always a Full EM Kuki believer when people were building her HP/HP/HB to the point i even considered pairing her w/ Yanfei or Xiangling to form an Overload team. Glad that my feelings were right
okay but that little raccoon at the bottom of the screen to show the progress bar is the cutest thing ever
I’m honestly surprised that you didn’t mention Kokomi. On release she was considered one of the worst characters because she couldn’t crit. Then she got her artifact set, hydro resonance was changed to give an HP boost, then dendro came out and Nilou as well later on! And with Furina on-field mono hydro Kokomi is also incredible! She is nowadays considered a very good unit!
it's more like characters who didnt fulfill their roll(or a specific roll) but now they do due to a change. in this sense kokomi was meant to be a healer support that applies hydro and she does her roll well
Kokomi was always a good character. Just the players perception around her changed. Clam's introduction just made people give Kokomi a second look. It's not even her best set these days depending on the team you use.
With Kokomi it was just more so the case of people not understanding her niche, you wouldn't really say that Bennet was ever bad despite him being in c-d tier on most tierlists on release
She was always good for ayaka teams and was the best healer and a great driver
that is true, people now understands that not everyone has to have perfect ICD and can crit. also i've been using instructor on kokomi, which is kinda her best set imo and you passively get them throughout the game
Cyno definitely got some of the most improvement too, he’s been slowly getting people that worked with his long uptime and he’s really able to shine
Its incredible how much are they indirectly buffing Xiao. You should also do a Top 5 Nerfed characters since their release. Sadly with Venti being number 1 :c
I knew it had to be kuki, that was the first one to come to mind, from the bottom of all tier lists to top hyperbloom member.
Although since her fix was so quick I wondered if you would count her.
what about Lisa though?
@@icxun1035 she improved as most electros but she is not a mainstate by any means, most teams prefer a different electro instead of her while Kuki is like the prime hyperbloom conteder.
she was def designed with hyperbloom in mind

I nominate Ganyu for this list. While I love her, it’s inarguable that her charge-shot-focused, AoE-centric playstyle is polarizing, and leads a lot of people to abandon her for more easily-played characters. But it’s equally inarguable that she has some very strong teams that can dominate specific content niches.

ganyu and lyney - strong but a lot of people dont like charged shot gameplay or needing a shielder
shenhe - strong, but niche
mona - better alternatives i guess?
eula - impressive raw damage, but she's physical and shatter+superconduct aint much nowadays

Im surprised you didn't mention the massive buff for Albedo from the existence of Navia. He is an excellent geo off field applier for more crystallized reactions! He is crazy good with Navia.
I would also like to point out the massive buff Diluc received from Cloud Retainer, turning him into a monster for plunging DPS and making him kinda meta again.
I’ve been maining Noelle since AR 25, and I haven’t stopped yet because she has it all except maybe generating energy particles with her skill.. But as time goes, she gets better.. with the additions of gorou, yunjin & furina, xianyun and possibly chiori, she is still a blast to play!
Now where’s the furina of physical dps?! So that I can play the original main dps in Razor! 😂
well, anyone who missed out on 2.3 is stuck in the past with harbinger, but it still works out in the end i guess...
He can't use the BP weapon Wolf Fang so if you're willing to spend, he has an alternative. Also Chiori 's weapon coming up will also likely be very good on him.

I’m not gonna lie deyha had so much potential she could’ve been the fu Xuan of Genshin,considering the current line up of Fontaine characters who value interruption resistance and could use dmg mitigation she would’ve been good for all of them since they the take their own health and would stop them from being too squishy
And if she had better pyro application and if they didn’t give a freakin support a dps ult that doesn’t even do dmg she could’ve been so much better her ult could’ve been something like she’ll restore her hp back to max and also her kit would have that she takes all the dmg her team receives not just part of it
People that would synergize perfectly with her:
Neuvilette C0 the resistance interruption would be crazy for him and if she had faster pyro app she could trigger vaps easily and consistently for him upping his dmg
Lyney: Mono Pyro and the interruption res is elite for a charged atk character like lyney

It's...if not amusing, then _consternating,_ that Shinobu is seemingly overwhelmingly called "Kuki". But, this comes from someone who, recognizing that "Hu" and "Fu" are family names, would revel in the normalization of calling the respective characters "Tao" and "Xuan".

@@AnimationStation3000If you're talking about overworld exploration then she is very suitable for Fontaine's underwater regions. But this video talks about improvements in terms of gameplay in which she barely improved even with the addition of Furina.

this is just a personal opinion but i’d consider barbara to be decent. I do use her as a driver in a thoma burgeon team, mono hydro team with furina, kaveh bloom and fridge teams.
The reason why I prefer to use her than kokomi is because of her e skill. To most people, her e skill is her biggest downside since you need to hug the enemies to apply hydro and her e takes a while to reset but, the advantage to this because rotation feels much easier and smoother with her, and she actively heals your party members consistently with her normal attacks. Unlike kokomi which requires you to use her q just to extend her e and heal your entire party while for only a short while.
edit: Also barbruh's NA are faster which is also why i prefere her than kokomi. Then equip her with the clam set and prototype amber and viola! Your barbruh is now a dps
Keqing was so underrated that peoples started to group on the r/keqingmains to theorycraft about her, and now its one of the biggest community of Build/Guide of Genshin
I think Fischl should be in there too, she had the addition of dendro AND the Golden Troupe set
100%!! She was strong but she got way stronger with dendro and now with the GT set, she is a BEAST

Fair, but Fischl was always very strong, she just kept getting better and better, while Xiao was kinda lacking in single target without Faruzan + tied to Bennet
Except she was never shat on. Hard to improve when you're the ultimate litmus test that determines if other units are trash garbo.

Kuki really went from Electro Barbruh to Electro Xianying
I'm losing my mind trying to remember which MapleStory OST was used during the Xiao segment.
When Kuki was first released, I built her as a healer. But now with the Flower of Paradise Lost artifact set, I rebuilt her as a hyperbloom carry. She's so strong with it
Kokomi definitely should’ve been mentioned here. In 2.1 there was no reason to play her in freeze over Mona (until shenhe's release). In Sumeru she became integral in Nilou teams and great for hyperbloom. Now she works well with Furina too!
I’m hoping that one day chongyun gets an improvement. I like him but he’s always been mid :(
When I first got him, I tried to use him as a Main DPS, limão.
I use chongyun for my ayato
People mostly play him in rev melt teams w/ Benny Kaz Shenhe

Scara the other anemo dps now being powercrept because of a character who’s been out for more than 2 years at his release has been getting buffs every patch.
eh, i feel like kuki was more of a "save it for later" situation than a "zero to hero"
I feel like Razor also deserves at least a mention. For the majority of the game he was overshadowed by 5 star DPS characters, even though he was very comparable to most of them in the early days, and then got completely overshadowed by the "Damage per screenshot" meta introduced with Eula, who was also the only other Physical DPS in the game.
Then came dendro Traveler, and the Thundering Furry comp was created. dealing just about every single dendro reaction in the game all at once, and ONLY being possible thanks to Razor's Burst adding secondary Electro instead of being an infusion, thereby allowing you to inflict every damage type possible EXCEPT for Physical
Agreed wholeheartedly about Xiao and Kuki Shinobu in particular. I'm a Xiao main since 1.3 and the thing about Xiao's little occasional buffs was that most of the times they came with a catch, like a finger of the monkey's paw curling. Vermilion set was introduced after us clamoring for a set? It was about 5-10% better than 2p 2p and for most people it wasn't worth it to farm. We got another 5* polearm (Calamity Queller) that works alright for him post-Homa? Shenhe reruns every blue moon. We got a new f2p 4* polearm that works with him for once? Event only, new mains can't get it. Faruzan is an anemo support and is amazing? Used to be tied to Wanderer's banner and all the good shit is locked in cons. But Fontaine brought SUCH GOOD CHANGES with no downsides. MH set synergizes pretty well with him if you don't want to touch VH/get good pieces, and the domain is resin efficient. Furina synergizes well with him so easily, making his damage so much better and adding excellent sub-DPS. Xianyun not only buffs his plunges and makes him better at single-target, she also frees him from Bennett and Jean's circle impact and lasts for his whole rotation and makes him smooth to play. Plus in triple anemo we don't have to worry about energy at all for either of them. Xianyun's weapon and C2 also buff Xiao a whole lot. Now not only he feels amazing to play (if you love his playstyle) and does great damage with this team, it's now possible to horizontally invest in him by vertically investing in his supports. Now Xiao's good cons are C2 Furina and C2 Xianyun lol, and they work for many other teams.
I'd say another one who got a glowup, although most people don't realize it, is Cyno. One of Cyno's biggest issues is how he was unable to synergize with most characters due to his long burst uptime. Then Nahida was introduced and sadly isn't a perfect fit (and still isn't in mob content, you can't reapply dendro on new enemies without cutting the burst short), but it was and still is the best dendro option and EM buffer. Then Baizhu came, and he mitigates the resistance to interruption issue but doesn't apply dendro enough to be the only dendro in quickbloom, more like a complement to Nahida. In aggravate solo Baizhu's fine, but normally in quickbloom you'd have to use both + 4p thundering fury to solve the energy issues of no second electro to battery. And then Furina arrives as the last piece of Exodia, with her insane buffs and slow but strong hydro. All three of them have long enough skills/bursts to synergize with Cyno's uptime, plus Furina also wants a healer like Baizhu to get fanfare stacks. Just like Xiao's case though, his team is too premium, but the good thing is that they're all supports and sub-DPS that work with myriads of teams (one of Neuvi's best teams uses 2/3). Sure, Alhaitham will clear faster and is cheaper to build some people will never give Cyno a chance, but he feels more satisfying and stronger now than before (still a struggle with mobs, but we're getting there) and isn't the mid cope DPS he used to be in 3.1. Build wise his old sets are better than MH but he also has the new battle pass polearm.
I'd also add Yae Miko and Thoma to people who got the dendro glowup. Although just like Kuki, I think we just misjudged them as we didn't know how dendro reactions worked and they were always meant to be great for their future teams/reactions.
wait i thought Cyno has faster clears than Al, like i heard he has the highest damaging quickbloom team in the game, though the multiwave issues are still there, so i'm not sure if he's better than Al.
@@usmanya5110 I actually can't say for sure, I supposed that because that's what most people used to said but I haven't seen TCing for them recently. I also can't really compare them myself. I have Alhaitham on my f2p account and he's C0 and running with Nahida/Kuki/Yelan or XQ (Furina is C0 and is normally on the other half). Even like this he's pretty good. On my main my Cyno team is overinvested since he's C2R1, Nahida's R1, and Furina's C2. So idk, I thought a better built Alhaitham in whatever team is meta for him could surpass Cyno in clear times since he doesn't need a burst and rotations feel quicker. I'd love it if I'm wrong and Cyno's team happened to be better as a Cyno main ngl. It's hard to find out since every community has its biases
I have to point out Nilou since her release had the dendro options of Traveler, Collei, and Tighnari
But overtime nearly every patch since there has been another potential option or even new best options for her given with Nahida, Dendro Sustains, Alhaitham for on field dendro, and semi-recentyl Furina adding a lot of personal damage and buffing albeit not for the reactions themselves
You should do the opposite video! Characters that used to be considered good, but have since been outclassed
Like Venti, he's so broken that Hoyo needs to design enemies around the fact that he could make them useless with the press of a button

I think Ganyu and Venti are good candidates.
Venti was, sadly, a necessary sacrifice. He was way too OP early on, to the point where it was bad for the game. Characters like him, that win fights by themselves with the press of a single button, really shouldn’t exist.
I would love a list of underrated characters with the biggest potential.

The Xiao banner is still here, so what are the builds and artifacts you guys recommend for him? I'm thinking of pulling for him.
(I run a Bennett, Rosaria, and Gaming team. The fourth slot is usually for a random character)
Noelle got a few more buffs. Something unique about her is she can swap out without losing her burst infusion and can extend it to 100% uptime. That means despite lower personal damage than Itto she makes better use of teammates. Enter Navia. A powerful quick swap nuker with high energy generation that perfectly fits Noelle's playstyle and covers her two main weaknesses: Lack of energy generation and consistent damage without much frontload. The other buffs are Golden Troupe, buffing Fischl one of Noelle's best off field dps and also being Furina's best set and usable on Navia as quickswap and Albedo, and the MH set which Noelle can use with Furina. Noelle parties with the right members can effectively gear all 4 members in one domain. Finally there's Yelan. Very high single target damage plus a strong buff and decent energy with Fav.
With so many options Noelle's flexibility becomes one of her greatest assets.

Ratheil, to play Xiao with faruzan, if you have her C6 you can just cast Faruzan's burst and switch, no need to cast her skill and shoot the empowered charge attack (twice) as that is not doing much at all! That should make your gameplay smoother
It would be awesome if they did an update to some kits like nothing crazy just something to put them closer to the newer power gap
Cloud retainer and Furina made my Diluc catch back up to my hydro men in damage and I cannot be happier considering Diluc is my favorite.
I was expecting kokomi in this list, she went from one of the most hated characters to one of the most wanted characters in the game, with dendro she gained a place outside freeze comp and with furina she became onfield dps.
I remember when kuki came out and I told my friend that "she has very good electro application, maybe when dendro gets released she'll be better if electro + dendro react together"
Felt like a true genius when dendro came out and she went from bottom 5 worst characters in the game to top 10 best characters in the game
id say childe also had a similar thing to childe with getting kazuha, then signature weapon, then like 3 new artifact sets, then dendro needing a lot of hydro and him having the most of it lol
What’s crazy for me is that the first zhongli banner is what made me play genshin and stay. I got albedo to work with him and had Xinyan and Bennett. And they were my comfy team. I still use Zhongli now and Albedo likes to come out once in a while too. It’s wild to me just how much they went from being throw picks to viable options. I love Albedo alongside my Navia.
Edit : KUKI. I forgot that on my second account I went through a phase of trying to main her. I pulled for a jade cutter. Did so much farming and desperately tried to make her dps. It hurt so much…
Kokomi~ Initially, no one thought she would ever amount to anything, but now she’s one of the most commonly used characters
Have you tried building Kequeen for aggravate dps with Xianyun, Nahida and Fischl?
Honestly, I bet Dehya could be slotted around 7 or 8 on the list. Furina's arrival was an absolute godsend- pairing her up with Dehya and Barbara is a recipe for success. Dehya is an immovable freight train, and with all that tankiness, Barbara's healing, as well as her up-close Hydro application and Furina's own buffs and Hydro application, is gonna do her wonders.
(I'm saying this all in theory, I haven't yet built my Barbara to test it out LMAO)
I have history with Kuki. She seemed so cool: aesthetics, voice, music theme. But with my terrible gacha luck, I missed out on her debut & first rerun banners. The hype died down and I eventually got her on the standard banner & was disappointed that she was as bad as everyone else said she was. Sumeru came out & people were saying she was perfect for dendro reactions & I put her into a random team I had. Turns out I accidentally made a team that would later be termed "Fridge" & she's been in high rotation in my teams. 😊
I’ve wanted Kuki for SO long but didn’t get her even on her rate up banners. Just got her off of the Xiao banner. I also just got Nahida, and I have Furina. I’m not sure whether to run dendro MC, Neuvilette, Kaeya for hyperfridge, or keqing for my hyperbloom team. (F2P, so assume 0 or very few cons. No 5 star cons aside from mc and Jean C1) I was also considering jean for furina support, but I feel like Kuki’s heal will be fine.

Going from 30k skill damage to 154k plunge damage is no small feat in my opinion

Kuki was out for like, half an hour before Dendro was released. And her viability in the Itto/Geo teams was never in contention.
Tbf just like Xiao, Diluc's performance have been significantly better since Furina+Xianyun release. I have invested on him A LOT since before but it was only since I had Xianyun when he was finally able to 36* abyss without ease for me.
Dehya did see a bit of improvement with Lyney and Neuvillette, who can appreciate her being pyro and having resistance to interruption that isn’t tied to normal attacking. She’s not one of the most improved characters, but she’s not as useless as she used to be.
I think Yae Miko deserves a mention, she's the 5-star version of Kuki in tier lists

Diluc is among the most improved by far. My team with diluc, xianyun, furina, bennett is so absurdly cracked it can kill bosses in 3-4 plunge attacks
hutao got a lot buffed too :
- yelan
- shimenawa (not really a buff but way more worth to farm than crimson)
- hydro resonance changes (hp% instead of healing%)
- furina
- xianyun
She keeps getting stronger even if she was already a top dps
(fischl too with golden troupe, dendro, new bows...)

@@lyneyed it solves a c0 hu tao's stamina problem while giving it comparable or even better dps than a c1 n1cd hu tao, Can't forget that it also gives a higher overall team dps due to furina's pets and buff and xianyun swirling hydro, oh and better aoe too. Seems like someone just lost their 50/50

its cope because its uncomfortable to play for such a neglible dps increase, nd most people who dedicatedly play hu tao probably like her enough to have pulled her c1 by now. of course some people might enjoy that playstyle for her, but personally me and many others just dont like it lmao

Also the only other hu tao team with comparable dps to the *c0* xianyun team is furina bennett and probably vv hyper, both of which are arguably less comfortable to play due to the former having circle impact and the other with incredibly squishy characters. In your case since you have a c2r1 xianyun, I cant see why the increase is something you would call "neglible" since with my build, it nets me an average of 2.35 mil damage per rotation (with your c2r1 xianyun of course) compared to a standard double hydro hu tao with zhongli which gives me 1.01 mil damage per rotation (perfect 11xn1cd).
VV hutao I believe is still her best team by a large margin so I don't think she got a direct buff that actually raised her ceiling since Yelan's release

I get that the point of the video is mentioning those with the most meaningful improvement, rising to greater heights than they were released with, but I'd say that Dehya also improved. Before anyone says anything, I am not saying she shot up the tier list like electro characters in 3.0. I am saying that as the year went by, she found meaningful places in team compositions. Of course there are better alternatives in any teams she's involved in, but that's not the point. The point is that from Dehya's personal perspective, she's gone up. Her damage baseline remains low, yet that doesn't stop her supportive capabilities from acting. Being an extra source of HP change for Furina's burst's buff conditions, to providing interruption resistance for the likes of Lyney and Neuvillette. Or even being the defensive pyro unit in a Chevreuse team, where there aren't many defensive pyro or electro characters out there. She wasn't "fixed", but she has stable places in teams now.
Jean also got a MASSIVE power boost with furina. She went from being basically useless to one of furinas best teammates

Read some of the comments here but personally think Albedo has always been Fine, it's ok but you don't need him. On the other hand Jean, she was never a meta pick until Furina.
While fischl was never a bad character and was a standout even when electro was bad you cant deny she has gotten absolutely insane from aggravate in 3.0 to a bis set in 4.0
Let's not forget that Albedo might be getting another buff with Chiori' signature weapon which a lot of leakers are saying is really good with him
I think no.1 should have been Hutao. Considering how we go from 2 geo team comp with Albedo, to now double hydro (with the change to hydro resornance) with yelan, furina and xianyun, which Hutao C0 even more viable. Considering how she has already been the top single target dps already, but then also receive buff after buff is just insane imo.
If we meme about it then xiao was replaced by every polearm sword and claymore with xianyun and C6 Bennett 😂
Also albedo got GT which is comparable to husk mostly and now chiori signature weapon that includes a bit of DEF% and it's a super nice stat stick in general so will see how much he will get improved by the weapon

I just wanna mention: EC was never bad. It's actually one of the greatest reactions due to it allowing you to have both electro and hydro on the enemy. Without EC, Hyperbloom wouldn't be nearly as good as it is but more on the level of Burgeon. Overvape teams, like Rational or Fischl+Hu Tao, wouldn't be possible or at least way less viable. So no, EC was never bad and will probably never be bad.

I have Kuki but I still don't like her because she drain her own HP. I use Kuki as Offield so she will die when her HP is really when I get her onfield. Feels like I need another healer for Kuki just like need healer for Furina.
As a former Xiao main all the way back in 1.3, playing Xiao back then was nasty if you didn't have Jean. He'd make you wish you could put 6 characters in a team.
As an albedo main I don’t think he deserve his place here, he’s still considered one of the worst character and he’s about to be replaced by chiori in mono geo…

Kuki really shouldnt be on this list since was definitely designed with Dendro reactions mind; her kit was designed around hyperbloom, especially her A4 boosting her healing in EM only builds. She was also released in version 2.8 so ...
You could even say Thoma was too because of the Kitain Crossspear and his burgeon friendly pyro application but it's a little harder to convince people of that.
Noelle is definitely better than Itto at this stage in the game. Though I wonder if Chiori will be his missing piece...
It's a travesty Lisa isn't on this list, Lisa went from Amber tier to out dpsing most standard banner 5 stars when dendro came out. When the game first came out if you pulled Lisa on a banner you'd be like "Goddammit!" and if you pulled Diluc you'd be like "Fuck yes!" Now the inverse is true.
For me its
1) Kuki: I don't need to explain why
2) Thoma: A lot of people doesn't like burgeon as much as hyperbloom. This is mostly cause of a misconception a lot of people immediately assume after playing it. That's burgeon not dealing as much damage as hyperbloom, but it's actually more a skill issue more than anything. The correct answer why people don't like it as much is cause thoma burgeon teams are a bit harder to play than hyperbloom. That is if you play it incorrectly, you lose out on a lot of damage when in reality both team architypes over the same enemies actually just perform the same if not just 5-10 seconds apart from each other. Regardless of what people think, Curry/Oven Thoma is actually really good after rigorous testing with it, his teams just needs practice since he's burst reliant (i.e. you need to be mindful of funneling particles) compared to Kuki where you just press E and you deal damage.
3) Jean or Any strong/team wide healers: Furina...
4) Diluc/Xinyan/Barbara or any character that has innate elemental infusion or can be infused with C6 Bennett or any type of infusion: Xianyun just made them more viable in abyss, they're not doing insane broken damage, but Xianyun makes it so they're doing enough damage to 36* abyss.
5) C6 Benny Burgeon shenanigans: A lot of people overlook this teams just cause its not really taking into account the ATK buff Bennett is used for. The 2 most notable but not limited to these characters are Razor and Albedo. If you ever watch TC's cook, you might've heard of "Thundering Furry" before, if not look it up its unironically a pretty good team against the right enemies. The next is Full EM albedo. A lot of people clowning on Albedo's EM buff since Albedo is usually in a mono geo team, which EM is pretty much useless. Full EM Albedo unironically uses the buffed crystallize reaction for the defensive utility, while also dealing a lot of damage through burgeon. Its also using his EM buff to its full potential.

@@usmanya5110 yup, its a variation of an oven team, that typically use xiangling, furina, Baizhu, and wriothesley. I mentioned the term "oven" in the thoma section actually, i didn't get into much detail since its already a bit long (oven typically consist of cryo, pyro, hydro, and dendro which is what bain marie consists of, and it uses some of the concept of an oven team but not all).

Childe had a pretty big glow-up as well. Heart of Depth (and later Nymph's Dream), Polar Star, Kazuha... He's certainly evolved from how strong he was in 1.1.

Okay i have just watched the video, idk why in the world she's on the team. If it was c1 nilou, her ring can be a long and consistent source of hydro, but there are definitely better options.
