There is à problem with chinese tools like this .
Filters thread are 0,75 mm and the chineses tools are 1mm thread , the result the tool broke some thread on the lens . I put my one on a Lathe and i made the correct thread 0,75 mm
Filter diameters between about 30 mm and 86 mm have a 0.75 mm thread pitch.
Above 86 mm diameter, the thread pitch is 1 mm
Below 30 mm filter diameter, the thread pitch is 0.5 mm
Lens filter thread profiles are cut according to the ISO metric screw thread standard. This standard determines the depth of interior and exterior threads, thread angle (60°),
Now i can repair all thread without problem.

I completely understand where your coming from. I purchased a lathe for the shop. It should be delivered in 45-60 days. Once it is setup and running there are lots of lens related items I plan on making.

@@PaulKepnerProductions I do the same 'reverse turn till the thread drops in' for filters, and would suggest reverse turning when cleaning the lubricant out of the threads might be wise, so that the turn carries the grease and contaminates away from the lens.
