watched the video through to consider changing out the cigarette lighter to usb on my xc60, wow mate what a task to get that unit out. millions of hidden tiny screws and that shifter geez!

This is an awesome video, just swapped le wood trim for metal mesh trim on a 2021 V60 here in Canada. I did not take the entire console out, but enough to give me access to all I needed. You had very good instructions. Nice job. ❤

think the sliver was nicer 😂 only messing. I've got to change my left rear light on my v90, everything is a bit a of a faff with these motors!! fair play for persevering! I would of chickened out at the gear shift removal!!
17:30, if you'd just opened the lid to the arm rest the panel would have popped off and the frame would then be able to be removed. Thanks for the video! did this without removing my shifter.. now i know how to do it if i want change more things :)

Great video for removing centre panel But can change sliding cover in about ten minutes without removing it

Sorry but mine is a v60 looks very similar. At the end of the track the 12v socket end the sliding cover can be slid in. The only thing stopping this is a small piece of plastic at the entrance of the slider track which is easily removed with a dremel type tool

Yes I have the same problem. Everything else is so well finished off. I would have thought it would have had a magnet, or latch.
So I spilled a small amount of drink on my e brake which won’t engage now. Will this help?
I don't think so, I suspect you need to clean the switch or replace it.

Im having trouble with releasing the gear mechanism, mine is the same but with an extra piece of plastic on it. Any ideas?

@@morriscarstairs2685 finally got it done. If you just push the clip in and twist the link up, you should just be able to easily pull it off. Thanks for you reply tho.
