This was actually one of the first songs I listened to from you on Spotify.... Good memories.
The verses feel super active and wonderous, really capturing the feeling of exploring in the game, with the chorus feeling just... Picturesque. I've never played the game, but I can feel the images and emotions one might experience every time I listen to the song... Great job on it dan, I know it's an old one but it's amazing nonetheless.
I'm super happy with this song, I feel like it works well as a standalone song even for those who've never played the game. Which other songs of mine do that?
@@danbull I feel like the Far Cry Primal piece works really well as a song about humanity, removed from cavemen whacking at each other with spears
@@danbull definitely the song for payday 2. The fact that the song is more than just glorifying the actions you take in the game, butje instead has an understanding of the destruction caused by those actions makes it stand out and be able to stand on its own.
@@danbull ancestors rap as well as rising trials. A tonne of others but those are the ones I immediately thought of. Also, I absolutely adore "I've got a bad feeling about this" simply because I think it's one of your best choruses and the verses have a tonne of cool references to star wars as well as the whole song functioning really well as just a great standalone.

Man, I was way off. I always remembered the Darwin lyric as “1000 lb ringed double platypus” the actual line is just as weird but so far from my remembered one.
