Reminds me of all the ice houses on Mille Lacs lake, something like 5000. Every spring there were stories about how many weren’t removed in time. We thought nothing about sitting out there for ours fishing. My Grandpa used to go spear fishing, what a guy he was!

Is that a serious question? If that is the case then yes, the ice is on top of the water but there is no pressure to force the water up.

The water does come up in the hole you drill... ice has a lower density than water so it naturally floats on the surface. Same way your ice cubes float in your drink.

Rebel Riders Motorcycles : I agree. There’s a certain knowing yet ridiculous innocence/ wimsy to these guys. Letterkenney has a sweetness about it too but it’s a bit too monotonous with its characters and dialogue, too bro culture, and seemingly always tries to be too smart, I dunno - a little goes a long way. But these guys for some reason, I can never get enough of. Keep er movin, Charlie, Myles and Ryan (and Ryan the T-shirt guy too!) 😁 - oh yeah - and “Dude Dad” too! 🙂

You obviously must meet the Great Lakes people, we have great fish.
you should come up during the summer if you wanna see the nice bits. tons of great camping spots up here, lots of lakes and the Ice Age Trail is never too far away. Personally i think the winter gets boring real quick here.

So Wisconsin! My three brothers-in-law live in Antigo and Wausa. Pretty sure their ice shanty has been on a lake for a couple months now.
