Buddy bought a bar years ago, I’m a carpenter and he wanted me to look at the bar inside. He was going to remove and replace!! I looked at this 1930’s curved bar with a little wear, we repaired and finished it. Ten years later he told me I still get offers for that bar the last one was 60,000 for the bar fixture itself!!!!!!

I made my bar u can get a nice live edge bar top from Home Depot or Lowe’s can’t remember. 7ft by 1.5 ft for 95$
So funny, I was doing cosmetic work on my Jeep this past weekend, only 4 separate trips to the store for supplies in the course of 18 hours. I was proud it was only 4!
Haha my max for my jeep was 3 in a day😂 but I've got a jalopy obs chevy and that'll get to 5 or so or as every bolt strips except for the ones you got spares for

Killing me. That benchtop is a holy grail for woodworkers. You just can't find them anymore and every time someone drills into or changes them it makes woodworkers die a little. Hang on, have to get a new box of kleenex....killing me.

i died a bit inside too. long time carpenter. i was clearly born to do it. it was mounted on a bench before though. give me a day with that? i'd make a bar, that would still work as the bench top it was designed to do.

I am an armchair woodworker (watch youtube how to's and make more sawdust than projects), but I thought gee I could make that a great project out of that. (aka rex kreuger)

This was a great episode wit ya two, take that piece that came apart back apart n throw some wood glue on it n it'll be stronger then the wood itself. I love it y'all kept the character! I'd even allow sanding the top smooth (prefer hand planning myself) and adding a thick clear resin coating!

A buddy of mine got a 3x9 foot x 2 1/2 (maybe 3 in. thick) piece of the oak floor from the old Willys Jeep paint shop in Toledo. Cleaned up beautifully! A little clear epoxy... Bam! Bar top!
Holy cow, that's amazing! 3' x 9' x 3" of solid oak! How much did he pay for it? And to think that it must have came from a tree at least 3ft wide, it must have been 100 years old. Can't believe they were using it as flooring 3 inches deep

Fun fact the Fleet Farm stores and the Farm and Fleet stores are owned by the same family but the family members had different views on what the name of the store be. So if you are in Illinois the store is called Farm and Fleet. But if you are in Wisconsin the store is called called Fleet Farm. Also the correct name for the store should be Farm and Fleet and the reason is not because I am from Illiniois.
I think you are incorrect. The Mills family started Fleet farm and the Blain family (freinds of the Mills) started Blains Farm and fleet. They agreed to operate in different states as not to compete. That's out the window now with KKR investment group out of Manhatten buying Fleet farm in 2015 or so. KKR will run it inot the ground, load it up with debt, file banruptcy, not pay their suppliers, keep the property and build condos and aprtments. same they do all the companies they buy.

I was forced to take Home Ec. Skills that I would GLADLY trade in to be able to put two pieces of wood together.
@@JNMKlover I definitely feel like they're more useful lol. I don't mean to brag or nothing, but I did successfully put together an entire IKEA dresser by myself recently - and I thank my high school woodshop class for that unique ability lol
