I think commentators should stop filtering in what they should do though, I've seen so many matches now where the commentators are basically coaching the fighters. I don't dig that at all, why are they even able to hear them in the first place!?

It's not like Miva hasn't been trained for 16 years versus producing almost 3 years when this match took place.

Flograppling - can you please fix your site so that if we miss the live stream, we can go to the site and rewatch the event or individual matches without seeing ALL THE SPOILERS FOR ALL THE MATCHES WHEN TRYING TO FIND THE REPLAYS???? Only been asking for this for about 4 years now. This event lasted almost 6 hours and took place on a Sunday night-- I watched till about 10pm but like many people need to work next day so went to bed with the intent of watching what I missed the next day. Why is it so hard to group spoilers such as post match press conferences and GORDON REIGNS SUPREME videos in a "Results" section and group other matches and event replays in a Videos or Replays section so I can watch the matches the next day without them being spoiled for me? Seriously, this is a real, ongoing problem.
Mica's flexibility is amazing. He sprawls out of a blast double leg takedown and seamlessly transitions into an arm-in guillotine.. Awesome fight!!

I think jay's wildness in wrestling has its benefits but when dealing with someone is technical and can handle pressure you can truly see his short comings. He should work on less flashy techniques and really work back the basics.
He train jits about 3 years and already become adcc vet.
He's been traning for 3 years, and he survived against Mica. I think they knownwhat they are doing.
Hes only three years in and hes young competing in adcc take it easy on him
@Mcsquiizzy take it easy? His comment was extremely constructive, and correct. If you hear Jay talk about his training, he barely even drills, he doesn't watch any film, he doesn't study the sport, he just comes in and practices techniques during rolls. He won't progress as fast if he doesn't start doing all those other things. Nobody said what Jay has accomplished in three short years isn't insanely impressive.

Great match! Mica's skill was just on another level. Jacob's strength, conditioning, will, and pace is impressive tho, if he can become more technical he's gonna be force for sure.
jay is crazy knowing hes been training only few years, but the moment his pressure doesn't work, you can see he doesn't have anything.
He's definitely trying find what works for him. Used be so aggro but now he's looking mor3 collected each match. His defense definitely a warning for next year, he's gonna go for it 🔥
That's part of having a wrestling background. Everything is nonstop, no resting and constant pressure. Taking time to breathe and think, actually takes getting used to. But, If he can keep that pace as he gets better, he's gonna be a problem.
The fact jay did that well is impressive. Need to remember Mica has been training his whole life. Jay only a few years! Great match on both of them.

If matches were like this people would watch BJJ! No one wants to watch two guys stall for 10 minutes to get to overtime. This feels like scoring it like a ufc fight. Whoever does more, wins. Garry Tonon vs Renato Canuto was the blueprint for entertaining grappling

Mano é por isso que até hj eu não consigo me conformar com aquela derrota pro KADE na final do ADCC ... pô, o Mica é muito superior e o KADE só sabe dar bugjoke e chave de pé, só isso... os ROTUOULOS são muito cheios de marra e mascarados.... não aceito aquela derrota, Nunca vou aceitar.
Mica é um fenômeno, sem dúvida. Mas não tem essa de "o Kade só sabe tal coisa...". Ele tem gás infinito, sai de várias finalizações normais e de pé e tem um domínio por cima muito bom. Ele finalizou o Mica. Ele não só ganhou, finalizou. Os dois são monstros com estilos diferentes.

Exciting match. I fear jays gonna end up getting himself badly injured with his frantic style. But major props to both guys.
One observation is how much more controlled Gordon looks against all of his opponents compared to this match (and everyone else). He exerts complete control. Really highlights the gulf between him and even the elite guys like jay/galvao.

This was a great performance from b team. This kid started jiu-jitsu late. Not even a black belt. Went head to head with the world number. One black belt held his own super competitive match.

Micah working his freestyle wrestling. Very nice. Beautiful drop and nice arch to hit that suplex. Works good from a front headlock also and can possibly do a backwards roll right into mount or start looking for guillotine, darce, etc.

When Jay got out of that full mount after nearly getting choked, I was roaring with enthusiasm that he would do something with his newfound neutral position.
He just needs to learn how to put the pedal to the metal and chain techniques together as fast as he scrambles.

I once believed Mica could be a good fight against Gordon Ryan... but even Mica being a very good fighter, he is not in the same league as Gordon.
Hes about 60 lbs too light. Lets see the next best thing, him vs Nick Ryan.
He's 50+ lbs smaller than Gordon Ryan, you just can't compare directly, not to mention, Mica Galvao does a lot of gi work whereas Ryan focuses 99.99% on no-gi
Gordon got 25kg+ on Mica weight, frame/height also counts. No reason to compare both imo, also Mica stated recently that he is going to refrain from absolute competitions for a while
