This just shows how good couch is. Jay Rod is an elite grappler, went 8 - 0 all submissions against some of the toughest grapplers in the country, and couch made him look like a first day white belt. Unbelievable display of skill.
idk about white belt, but sure. Jacob Couch is for real. Represents alot of Kentucky Bjj players and athletes. We have real athletes in this state and the more success he has the more of those athletes will move top bjj and you'll see more success from Appalachia.

So where was the jumping around of J.Rod ? Where was the flashy stuff the film in their training ? No where to be found,and Couch only used a very simple Jiujitsu (the most traditional types of Jiujitsu techniques) to shut that all off …

Bjj is going in both direction, the overall competency of all belt levels are weakening as more ppl are getting into bjj and schools need to keep their customers happy. On the other hand, there’s so much content available for serious practitioners that even a blue belt can catch up to a brown belt if he invest the time and effort into oneself
and both can beat black belts.
