Far too broad a category and number, especially undefined. Date range? Chronology? As cultural artifacts? In what order? All those questions lead to asking, “What generation?” The games span different age ranges, across at least four “generations” of people - and while some games “defined” various peoples among those generations, although not others-with all sorts of “vice versas” at play- *very few* “defined” even the popularized, advertising demo “generations. You’d be hard-pressed to get even 66.7% agreement on any set of ten games - maybe even five. It might seem the more, the better, but that just muddies the waters-these 144 games _all_ defined a generation, especially ‘cause half those in the earlier generations didn’t even know about _Montezuma’s Revenge_ (better than Super Mario, for its time, but picked because it were onscreen as I was writing)...
I mean, I guess that, if you were clickbaiting people who wanted to know what the title meant, the description pulled them in, even more, by liking it less clear. By that point, you’ve got 10 mins of viewing time... 🍻
Lame list. Terribly thought out and organized. Lazy. A ton of games half the audience will have never heard of, and are definitely not worth being on any list.
