It's the Red player here. If you wonder, right about when he sent me the GG, I just realized I have access to BBCs. I could afford maybe two of them, but were afraid he would send paladins to them. and I never realized his paladins were not upgraded the whole time :)
if you have chemistry you have bombard cannons, handcannons as well, the wining key here was indeed handcannons, bombard cannons and a mix of halbs to protect your siege
Kazem- For a while there, I didn't realise that BBC's referred to bombard cannons. I thought you meant that you had access to big black c###s...
if youre pushing, think about how you take out castels and towncenters. you need to build a siege workshop at castle age or its just a half dangerous push. your enemy can play it defensive an win.

Honestly this game and the advice is genuinely helpful for me, I'm about 1050 ELO and small tips like "about 5 on gold per stable for knights" is incredibly useful in terms of how to proceed after you do a relatively successful build order and then have to play the game.
most important thing is blacksmith upgrades which a lot of lower ELO players forget.
I mean that can help, but out of all things to take away from this video, that is like the least important thing. The most important lesson here is to spend your resources.
@@Mietchannel yes, i usually focus too much on managing and forget to spend resources. When I look I'm sitting at 5k everything lmao
@@Mietchannel yep, that is the most important factor in LE, imo. Even building 10 baracks and streaming pikes into handcannons is more useful than having a 5k bank of everything.
@@kouron true, and tbh these absolute numbers like 5 on gold for knights or 8 on gold for archers arent even that important. B/c if you see youre lacking gold you just pull some villagers from a different res on to gold. If youre floating then you pull some off. I notice that that is also a common mistake at lower elo: not reassigning villagers.
T90! All your advice on low ELO legends finally helped me to win my first ranked game! After watching your channel I got my Eco and blacksmith upgrades. But I still made many of the "low ELO mistakes" and had an army I was scared to send forward after some early aggression by the opponent. But I kept thinking back to what you always say: "Just send them forward, see what the opponent has." And I caught them trying to boom with 4 TCs, and cleaned up!! Thanks for making the series and all your advice in the videos

Lol, I haven't gamed in 5 years, but decided to buy Aoe2 DE with the dlcs, because of T90 videos I have been watching lately. Then as I was installing the game, it said that it's only for windows computers, which I don't have. Ah well, I gave it a shot. Maybe it was a sign to put off gaming for another 5 years.

Watching blue make Paladins with zero armor & attack upgrades was hard to watch.

Wonder if it's to do with it being the edge of a swamp. You need that "edge" to build a dock.
I always root for the underdog within about 10 minutes but by the end of this video I wanted them both to lose. They deserved it.
I feel like blue was a bit more frustrating to watch because she floated more res, but didnt produce enoough. She also was very stubborn in countering herself, and the fact that she made paladin before any of the blacksmith upgrades also hurts to see.
At least red made a really good army and put pressure.

I can confirm the full knight thing. I have won all games where I did that and got to 1200. It is stupidly overpowered at this elo. It got to a point where I thought I was cheating by going 1 tc all in. I was winning after losing 3-4 vils to feudal pressure too.
He lost, with a 45k ressource advantage, in a mirror game ... that's AMAZING.
The 2 knights were probably attacking mosquitoes 😂

Those knight following the cliffside swinging their swords at it over and over has been me in Elden Ring these past few days lmao
There are two types of mid-ELO players:
1) Only knows a single FC knight/xbow build, uses it every game but is pretty good at the execution. Sometimes gets scouted and hard countered and lose.
2) Absolutely impeccable eco, super fast up-timings and solid TC/vil count. Sadly doesn't know when to switch from full eco to full military and end up floating 2k/2k in early imp and taps out to pressure with 4k in the bank.

The lack of agression from those Hand Cannons made me nervous. Herectic Prophet could have been much present and done much more damage if he stepped forward more often with them.

just bought the game on lunar stean sale and won my first game today with a knight rush! it was so fun. Have been watching your vids for months t90 thanks for all daily content. I hope to not lose so much elo playing ranked.
I played heretic 3 ranked games in a row before xmas, we chatted and went on a crazy 5-6 game 2v2 win streak. He wasn't picking Tuetons then, he was changing depending on the map. I can't wait to tell him he's t90 famous, I've never been so nervous for someone I never met as I am watching this.

Mid-elo player here. It is a wonderful land where people know the technicalities and the high level stuff often times from videos or other sources.
People know *theoretically* how to play the game well but struggle with the execution but at different ends. Some have their early rushes down but with proper defence and stalling out to late imp mass production begin to crumble, others have sick quick-wall skills but get tunnel visioned, others have amazing macro but just waypoint their units into the enemy castle etc.
About no fight? Perhaps players resign early when Feudal age aggression comes in but I couldn't tell. I'm always behind because I don't bother practice build orders and often just 1 TC yolo it instead. :)
Teutons are a great civilisation for new players and I'd argue any civ that has pretty tanky units probably is. Those archer death balls are scary but one onager shot and it's gone.... or moving into a bad spot and then getting wiped up by knights or skirms or scorpions, or running into a castle or...
Putting down towers for map control, having 10 garrison space for villagers to keep e.g. miners safe, getting free murder holes, which is especially useful early castle age helps getting map control. Siege can't be sniped as easily, kickstarting the farming eco is much easier (and then we have extra strong longswords). Also denying enemies those pesky monks.

Hey T90. Few months too late. But had to comment that I found your analysis on this 1000 elo very informative. Made me notice a lot of mistakes I make.
Those two knights were following the proud Roman tradition of waging war on the sea.

I started playing only huns all in knights and my elo shot up over 1k elo really fast.. knights are OP against everything, problem is I feel like I am weaker than other 1k elo playing any other way, specially with late game eco and decisions
Yes knights are op in many maps. Specially if you have 30s of advantage with respect the opponent

Sometimes I wonder. One of the few ranked games I have won was a Mongols mirror (i went random, not sure if they did) and I won despite not having map control because I went Mangudai because I know how sick they are and they went 2 handed and halbs (or pikes i forget) and I was just thinking "Why would you make infantry when you got access to Mangudai?"
That said until I actually do bother with hot keys I will be low Elo
What pains me is the lack of composition reaction from blue. Never dealing with the hand cannon stack was what killed him. He needed siege, and when he went siege, he should have coupled ram pressure at reds base with trying to catch the HC death stack off guard. If he dealt with th HC stack the rest of reds army would either be easy pray or not dangerous.

Had he split the knights or even just run, he likely could have won cause Red played so badly it was ridiculous.
Still in the end blue could have overwhelmed red with trash units, just with sheer number. Despite the technology difference.

All she (blue) needed was blacksmith upgrades and that games ends when Paladin finishes. The rez wasted on Paladin is insane with zero upgrades.
This game felt like 400 ELO 11, so fun & painful to watch.

@@thorkildhammersth2564 I usually cheesed the ai with 5 layer stone walls to have time to get all the rss and then monks, castles and cavalry... if you plan to ever actually play the game against humans i would rather learn how to play properly though

Wow did they seriously buff hand cannoneers since Conquerors? That accuracy and damage is crazy
They buffed them a few months ago, faster projectile speed and I think increased the accuracy a bit.

Thank you t90 for this upload. I started watching for LeL, but i think i speak for a lot of your viewers that it would be great if you did a lot more mid elo. While they won't have all the funny moments that you see in lel, it also can come with still noobish plays, but skill in fluency that won't be as unbearable at times to watch (looking at you 2 hour team island games). And especially dark/feudal age games. They are so hit or miss and either it's fun lel or they don't do anything for like 30 minutes and have to skip through almost
I like to see 1v1 games with same civ as in would be in chess and see how everything depends solely in how well or bad the play
I'm a bit confused about idle villagers...you can actually see from your screen your idles and you have hotkey to find them, even when multitasking. I'm a low elo player, but even i can keep my villagers workin most of the time. Maybe it has something to do with personality...i don't panic when someone attacks me. And maybe that is why i kose a lot.

i just faced truthbandicoot on the same map and honestly she did quite good, better than in this video! raided me alot with scouts and knights, but i managed to win in the end with bigger eco and more army
