Love how the car turned out! Probably one of the nicest ones ever put together at this point. Please follow this car to completion and do some videos for us. I’m anxious to see it on the ground with the final wheels and stance.
While I myself am not a fan of the blue that was used, the result was outstanding. To each their own. I do appreciate how beautiful the car came out from your hard work getting things straight and fit properly. To say nothing of your paint work. These cars are a work of art and you treated it as such. Nice job.
The paint takes on a whole new life in natural light and the satin black adds the perfect contrast. Just don’t stick any car keys near the door locks 👌
It looks so good Howard, when you rolled it outside it just popped. No wonder Kylie was floored by her first viewing of the car. Great work once again. Now where is that panel van again? 😂😂😂
I do some painting myself. Recently I’ve been restoring old corvettes. After seeing the work of respected painters in the field I have a lot more confidence in my ability. lol. This series confirms that you do not need the fancy equipment to produce quality work. I’ve seen you do your “surgical” type work on this car and you still had to cut and buff it like the rest of us do.
Beautiful car with great work and as usual your education is first class. I love how you ask the questions of the experts that people are asking you in comments. I love the top with the wire stands under the trim pieces. Not sure about the colour at all but that's just personal choice. Can't recall if the wheels are going to be black in the end for the full 'murdered' look ? Very trendy. If I had to take the black trim I would have went with red or British racing Green body. Happy New Year. Looking forward to the van as I'm doing HZ van myself this year.
I have to admit it’s a striking car but I find the colour to wishy for my liking but I’m not the one that will be driving it. Owners choice is all that matters
last time you put about 4 layers off clear onto the hood. i also work with PPG and will get blistering problems with so much as 3 layers . so max 2 is my limit. this because the sulvent wont have the time to resolve. so it will leave cooking isseus witch wont polish out. even with slow thinner or hardener... so i was reaaly suprised to see your 4 runs.... love the non mett bleu BTW
thanks for respoding. dont think thats the problem. you need good ventilation.to protect it from overspray. i do believe its because of the first coat solvent wont resolve out of the clear because its blokked by to many layers. its actually pretty logical. i was reaaly suprised you getting away with the thickness@@AstillDesign
This is one of the best looking camaro in the world at the moment. The blue is the colour of the sky, so you made a dream car, 'sky car'. Should do the nomad, or my dream custom car is a 57 sports coupe, made into a Cabellero. But could call it Conchita, I'd put on kelsey Hayes wire wheels og ones from the 50's with titanium spokes, around the car, lowered 2“ 108mm. A fabric sunroof, a Webasto with the smoked air deflector from the 70's from a Jaguar. Titanium roof bars, in the og style, but what colour or colours? I think a Jaguar met racing green, their racing green as its nearly a black colour from the C & D types. And have a couple of monkey bikes paint matched or contrasting in the colours that didn't make it. And use a rear hatch/tailgate from the 70's Ford, with the switchable opening.
Afternoon Howard, and a merry xmas mate! Great body work and finish on the car. The devil is always in the detail I was always hoping it would have two black stripes as original in a tangelo metallic, but that's me. I wanted to ask you, was there a reason you lay the bitumen layer and then paint over it? i think i know but i don't like assuming. Thanks,
Just curious, have not read the other comments, but are the inner fenders suppose to bolt to the inside of the fenders the way you have them is that factory or is that something custom you did? Thank you in advance.

Oh so true
Agree, leave it for Toyota 86’s etc.

Solvent boil may be caused through too much airflow over the surface after application
thanks for respoding.

I just like to seal it all up with a solid overall colour and tuff clear coat.
Just curious, have not read the other comments, but are the inner fenders suppose to bolt to the inside of the fenders the way you have them is that factory or is that something custom you did? Thank you in advance.
I believe that is factory. It’s how it came to us.
Would you rather do that sort of job or a full build
Normally full builds, but I'm trying to slow down.
