I have a hard time winning very many races even though I mostly play for fun. Any tips for getting to first place in both this, and Mario kart 8 deluxe?
I never knew this fame had a credits screen
Toad's Lambo engine is holy
Does the Staff Credits work when you do the 50cc and 100cc?
I don't think so
No
@@djdamn4028 okay thank you
hey guys
You missed the reverse gameplay
You have to beat all the cups on 150cc to get the credits?
And get 1st place on every map
Ay I made it early
😍😍😍😍😻😻😻😻
I always wondered why they used 2D sprites for the racers in this game and didn’t give them the same polygon models the characters have in most N64 games.
This was one of the very first N64 games ever made, so they didn't have a full grasp of the hardware quite yet. Later games would have more advanced tools allowing for full (or nearly full) 3D graphics.
@@BlueAizu_ well I understand that, but Super Mario 64 predates this game by a little bit and Mario had his full polygonal 64 bit 3D model in that game.
@@johnmoss1444 They're both Mario games that launched with the system, but they're vastly different types of games. Mario 64 is a single player game where the world basically only exists where Mario himself is. They only ever need to worry about rendering Mario and his immediate area.
Mario Kart 64 can have up to four players racing at once as different characters in different parts of the map, which basically means it's rendering four separate scenes at once. To help save on resources they chose to make the characters pre-rendered sprites instead of full models. It's pretty obvious they're sprites now, but on an old CRT television it looked convincing enough.
I still prefer diddy kong racing
