Grazie, Lucrezia! Buoni manuali tutti i libri di grammatica proposti. Sono totalmente d'accordo con te, soprattutto col fatto che studiare la grammatica con i libri in italiano è molto utile a non tradurre e imparare più naturalmente, anche se all'inizio si può fare più fatica, ne varrà la pena :-)
Parla e scrivi, bei ricordi di quel libro lì, lo usavo in facoltà quando ho iniziato a studiare l'italiano :-)

Ho i due libri scritti da Susanna Nocchi di Alma Edizioni e anche il libro sul congiuntivo della stessa casa editrice. Ma li uso soprattutto come opere di riferimento. Le schede di Loescher sono veramente utili per chi ha bisogno delle spiegazioni concise, come un ripasso della grammatica italiana. Consiglio spesso quel sito ad altri.

What I really want is a good source for drill. Plain, old-fashioned, hyper-repetitive drill. No conversations. No useful expressions. No colloquialisms. Just straightforward conjugation and tense-changing practice. Suggestions?

Excellent video Lucrezia: I lived twelve years in the USA then twenty in Great Britain as my little family is english (great cool wide included ) but...for me, I learn different languages because...English is useful BUT not enough and has a very limited shelve life communication wise if you speak it i a country that do not speak it as a first or second official language. Each language does open commercial/cultural/work/folkloric/artisanal doors that others cannot! Also, as much as I like to use English of course being in the UK now or speaking it to folks that has it as a first language, I am noticing tough and can see as my predictions which usually becomes true in such matters, that more and more people have started since 2018-2019 not to choose English as a second language as a reflex to use it like the Lingua Franca right away but go for French, Spanish, Russian, German, Malay etc...which are per regions of the globe and for some, internationally, lingua francas themselves. Some folks also seem to go for specialized languages like Icelandic or Maltese or Farsi to open special historical and cultural doors ...
Since Brexit (which I understand the reason for) and so many Trumpist extremists in the United States being there still, English will be used less around the world, by at least and indelibly -15%, by 2023-25.
Also, in India, Hindi, not English, is both the most widely spoken first language and second language in India . While the number of native Spanish speakers in the United States is less than that of English speakers, Spanish is getting stronger there as, for now, there are 43,200,000 native speakers languages in that country.
I speak French, English / American, some Mexican Spanish and I now go all the way to learn Italian correctly to a fluent level. It will take time indeed.

Inoltre, la sua architettura e i suoi monumenti: l'Italia (e la Cina) è il paese con il maggior numero di siti UNESCO al mondo. Ci sono 55 siti del patrimonio culturale e naturale e altri 40 che hanno cercato di essere elencati, che costituiscono il 5% della lista del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO.
