During this hard time I would like to share with you guys a song that was written from my heart that is a love letter to all Cambodian women who have ever doubted themselves, been told you can't, or who need to know that being a heroine is possible. When I was young, I used to wish for a Cambodian heroine to appear and tell me that everything was going to be okay. I dreamt of being one and I used to wish that Cambodians could be more than what everyone sees us to be, the underdog. And so, I wish on this day to share with all women out there, that such heroes exist. To all of you ladies out there, be the change you seek. The hero inside you is only waiting for your permission.
For International Women's Day 2021, this music video was shot entirely focused on the true story of three women who persevered in the face of adversity and overcame with grace, humility and strength.
