"Watching this report from six years ago makes me appreciate the bravery and integrity of true journalism. Today's media landscape often feels biased and spineless in comparison. We need more reporters like this who are willing to fearlessly pursue the truth, no matter the consequences."
Everything gets turned into a race always. "But I suffered more than you!" "No, It's ME! I'VE suffered worse!" "You people don't know real pain!". We've all gone through some things and that's nothing to brag about or compete about.

Breaking News are only summarized and edited in such a short period of time and had to be given to the reporter at the same time they had to broadcast it, thats how live news works if you havent known yet.
This is why we have STANDARDS in journalism. Do not show pictures of deceased people on live TV. Do not give any identifying information until next of kin can be notified... this includes close up images of cars, license plate numbers, etc. Compassion and dignity are more important than "the story."
I can't believe some of the comments, saying crap and stuff like "crying is ok and nothing unprofessional shit" it's the fact she suspected it and WASN'T sure. Can we just stop worshipping "professionalism"? Your employer will replace you tomorrow if you performed poorly or if you died, regardless of how professional you are. Humans have human lives and experiences and we need to normalise behaving as such instead of pretending that life outside of work doesn't exist. Work culture around the world, except for a few places, is so cutthroat that you're ridiculed and your promotions are at risk if you want to take leave, if you're not perky and chirpy 24/7, if your family needs you and you need to take half the day off, or even if you want to go on a well-deserved holiday. You have to pretend that you simply don't have a life outside of work. CNN themselves are exploiting her pain for their profit by uploading such a video. Don't be fooled into sacrificing your human nature at the altar of hypercapitalism; we don't live in a vacuum.

When he arrived on scene, he recognized the car as his wife's vehicle. She was the victim of the accident. Terrible tragedy. Something like that would break most people, including me.
I know of a story even more dramatic.. A paramedic responded to a deadly crash where his son, his pregnant wife with their second baby and his mom were involved. No one survived.
There wouldn't be any problem if she started grieving on AIR, but her tolerance and her passion to her job and that professionalism is just too good .....

I feel like people forgot the fact that she was just suspecting that her husband was one of the victims and still doesn't know that her husband died until the show ends, that's why she wasn't breaking down on air, but still imagine the huge anxiety she had on air and then learning that her husband is dead is just really sad.

@Zozo Zozo its all fun and games until this happens to you
Who had the heart to not tell her? By the time they had the story for sure the producers knew the identity of the victims...
Productionmar it's live news and even if it wasn't they probably wouldn't have known it was her husband
Breaking News are only summarized and edited in such a short period of time and had to be given to the reporter at the same time they had to broadcast it, thats how live news works if you havent known yet.

Agreed, what a dumb unneeded and frankly racist comment.

the way she managed to not break down right then and there. how does one do that?
This is why we have STANDARDS in journalism. Do not show pictures of deceased people on live TV. Do not give any identifying information until next of kin can be notified... this includes close up images of cars, license plate numbers, etc. Compassion and dignity are more important than "the story."
The censoring was already done by the news outlet, not only here in CZcams.

Finally someone said it 👏👏👏
Well usually when someone composes themselves it means they didn’t want to draw attention to themselves, a rare quality most women don’t have
