is the ride height the same as the jcw countryman?
Considering for us US customers that’s the closet we get to an AMG hatchback or A/C series wagon. So it’s a huge compromise that we can’t get around. Same could be said for BMW and Audi class competitors.

@@donkobert it’s not officially confirmed yet and when it still happens it will be beginning to run out of production 2024 so there is still loads of time

Hi all, from Australia. Can someone please tell me why presenters mix imperial Horse Power with metric Newton Meters. shouldn't it be HP and ft/lbs, or PS and Nm? Just asking. Keep well and safe.
Good question. PS and HP is actually the same thing. PS literally means Pferdestärke which is the German translation of horsepower. That’s why engine power is supposed to be given in kW which is a metric unit of kilojoules per second and physically useful.
PS is not quite the same as HP, put simply it is Metric Horsepower.
Who is this car for? Me. In my case to use daily to fly under the radar while my GTC and 911 wait for weekend drives. It is ideal for Urban potholes, deep dips at intersections and fantastic runs on twisty roads with more HP than a base 911 at 60% of the price. Plus it has practical space to carry things and seats 4 adults comfortably. The MBUX on this car has the greatest variety of options to provide inputs (manetinos, touch screens, pad, and buttons). Forget the fake carbon fiber and get real wood inserts. The tall riding position provides a better vantage point. And the Bermester provides decent (clear) sound. Is it sexy? No. But that's its beauty, it draws no attention.

I like it. I think there is no better small SUV on the market (and no, the RSQ3 for me is not on that level). I dont know what do you want and expect from a GLA45? Its a small SUV with sport DNA and that is exactly what it should be and what buyers expect it to be. The GLB is quite longer, so the handling is less good as in the GLA. Who buys a GLA45? Someone who likes a bit of more practicality and likes or needs to sit a little higher, yet still likes power and good acceleration. Or as me (who drives a V12 BiTurbo), who would buy such car for my retired parents: they got their mini SUV, which they can park everywhere, which has large windows - so visibility is good, which handling is simple, getting in and out is easy, where they can drive their dog - but when i take the car sometimes, i still can have fun with it and be faster as 90 % of other todays cars :) See? there are customers for that kind of car :) The same story could be, that the car is for a modern mom, which drives to the shops and their kids, the husband drives a 911 - so it the whole family goes somewhere on a trip, they have to take the GLA. And because daddy dont want to have only a GLA250, where even a Golf GTI is faster on the Autobahn, they have the GLA45s ;)
