I'm all for the GNU, but what is the DA smoking? Proportional allocation of positions probably makes sense and it is objective, but parties shouldn't be allowed to choose which portfolios they want because parties will choose all strategic portfolios, just like the DA is doing.

For example DIRCO they would probably accept Naledi being re-appointed, but they will probably fight for Minerals & Energy (Gwede) and Trade (Patel of SACP), given the importance to the economy.
